Father, Claire and I were discussing this homily in the hall Sunday after Mass. We both felt it was beautiful and just what they children needed to hear. If only I could have been a Cradle Catholic, I believe my life would have been very different. But I am Catholic now and I am so grateful .

I think it’s more accurate for us to say my God, my God why have I abandoned you? Why would I choose sin over Grace? Why would I choose the world over the God who made the world and who made me? Why would I choose a short false imperfect heaven over the true eternal paradise which Jesus offers us with him as he offered it to the good thief from the cross let us remember that God offers us the best deal in life and his words of wisdom that say: “What does a man profit if he gains the whole world but lose his own soul? “ this world offers nothing of value greater than the soul that God created for us and the eternal heaven that he created for our soul!!! as Psalm 62 says …in God alone as my soul rest , and as Saint Augustine says “my soul is restless until I rest in you oh God!”
