Blast beats suck.
Just realised I had yet to subscribe!! I am so sorry gents. This is fixed now 😅🫶
Maybe go Bloodstock one year, smaller than Download and would be cool to see you guys this year
Metalbirb if you want to check out a solid Nickelback album one of my favourite's still to this day is The Long Road came out in 2003. It's a heavy album in Drop C some killer tunes on that one. Also BMTH's new album is great! For Dig It I literally trim down the song and cut out the robot talking voice in the intro and end it right before the 2 minute silence part so it makes a smooth transition into the next song lol
You actually trimmed the song?! Haha that's brilliantly next-level effort. Nicely done. - Steve
And the song Never Again off of Silver Side Up👌 such a well written song.
Bullet w my name on is about the conflict in Gaza, they’re saying how even if Jesus returned the higher powers there would just kill him again like it was nothing
Nickelback is great in concert
Yup! - Steve
Once you realize the BMTH x Underoath song is about the atrocities in Gaza it starts to make sense. Everyone wants to believe they’re just being edgy but there’s a message behind it. Try to explain that to Underoath’s old Christian fans though. They’re so riddled with brain rot it’s no use.
Ahhh interesting! I didn't know that. Thanks! - Steve
BMTH clear FIR so much. That last FIR song sucked ass
Opinion: a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
Well there ya have it Steve, I'll be patiently waiting for a Popular Monster reaction video from you. That was one of the 1st songs I heard on you tube and has beena daily play since ❤😊 loving the podcast fellas.
Duly noted! I need to get to that song for sure 🤘🏻 - Steve
🖤 ~ also Birb, your look is giving very strong Dave Grohl vibes here 👍
Tool sucks
I mean... sure, their kind of music could suck in your opinion on a subjective level, absolutely. We all like different things. But I'd recommend perhaps looking for a more considered delivery of that opinion to be more conversationally nuanced 😅 - Steve
for falling in reverse to have album of the year they would need to have good music tho
The band is VERY talented, including Ronnie. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t make it not good bud. Bad musicians don’t sell out tours.
BMTH definitely not getting it cuz that shit was mid af
dogshit take
Tbh if you think about it with the type of song that All My Life is, idk if another style breakdown wouldve worked. Especially since they timed a dance to it. Or just not have one at all cuz its not a full on metal song
Love this, so interesting and entertaining. Thank you!
I think I had a lot more on my face than joy... 😂 love you guys, and thank you for speaking on the reaction stuff 🙏🖤
This is my favourite podcast right now. Keep it going guys
Ahh that's a wonderful compliment, thanks so much. So pleased to hear you're finding it worthwhile! I absolutely love having these conversations. Cheers! 💙 - Steve
I can’t say what’s shown in thumbnails is what necessarily gets my attention. For me, it’s 100% what’s in the background and the video quality of review, that makes me watch someone. I’ll use yesterday as an example. Was looking for FIR new song reactions and there was a thumbnail that showed someone sitting at a desk with a bright white sheet clothes-pinned up behind him. Even though there was a few hundred views on the video, I didn’t watch it cuz of how unprofessional the background looked. Professional looking lighting, calming coloring & background in a thumbnail is what makes me first watch someone. All 3 of you guys could have black squares for thumbnails and I’d click on them because of how mentally relaxing and professional looking I know the video behind that black box is gonna be.
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing that, it's super insightful for us to understand the variety of reasons that people are drawn to. Cheers! - Steve
Editing photos while listening to these 3 cunts just makes my life better.
When it comes to Craig. Hes not wrong. Theres alot of bad reactors. And do it for the wrong reasons. I know for sure he respect for some of them. But in the grand scheme of things, hes got a point. I listen to his podcast. And he has spoken highly of some reactors. I think he may of done a poor job expressing his point in a short video.
Thanks for this. Yes, I can see how that's entirely possible. I think the lack of nuance in the delivery may be a contributing factor to the confusion around the sentiment. - Steve
Unfortunately the same reactor thing happened with the UA-camr Penguinz0. A couple years ago reaction content started to get very stigmatized he stopped reacting to UA-cam videos like how to catch a predator and all that, what sucks is that he was one the most transformative reactors I've ever seen. That was the more general UA-cam scene, not the music UA-cam scene tho so reactions are a bit more stigmatized on that side of UA-cam 🤷
It was caused by DarkViperAU right?

2 episodes in on Spotify and really enjoying the conversations. Glad to have a new podcast to listen to while driving. I think I was one of or the first to rate the show! Looking forward to the other 4 episodes and the future. Well done boys
So glad to hear you’re enjoying it! Thanks for the message! - Steve
Saraya's theme song is Zombified or it was. I dont watch wrestling much. Ronnie has a song called Just Like You where he admits hes an asshole just like you
I love the entire band. People actually know the names of the other band members. Ronnie even had Busta Rymes as a feature as his solo mixtape
I didn't pay that much, it was less than $100. Billy Idol was just in my state and played a small outdoor venue and tickets were $200
Saying that ronnie radke is the "heel" of metalcore is really downplaying all the hurtful stuff he has said and done, very disappointed that yall couldn't even talk about his blatant transphobia but could talk about his mid music without a problem but that's what privilege gets you keep enjoying his music while he makes this scene a worse place for lgbtq+ folk
Did you watch the episode out of curiosity? - Drew
name a single thing that was hurtful
@@TheMetalRoundup I like the reactions all of you guys make and I wanted to hear yall's opinions but yall brushed up the transphobia and sounded even scared of mentioning it and also saying "it's just Internet drama" downplays how harmful ronnie and even Alex Terrible are for lgbtq+ people (especially trans folks) that are part of the scene this is not about "is the music good?" is about "does this person make the scene a safer place?" The first question is very subjective 15 yrld me liked falling in reverse 23 yrld me doesn't but ronnie and his friends don't do anything positive for the scene with all the respect I have for yall as individuals but you guys are just saying positive things bc ronnie has backed yalls channels in the past I know it's ur job but defending a transphobic person is not it
@@ronnieradke8605 them not even bringing his blatant transphobia up front, saying "his lyrics don't say anything problematic so I don't see anything wrong", clearly trying not to be negative against ronnie bc they don't want him to get mad and not support them any more + more
@@Rosedragun28where is his blatant transphobia?because he had an opinion about aspects of the narrative ie periods, getting pregnant, kids getting gender ops and bathroom sharing does not make him a transphobe.name a trans person who has been hurt at a FIR concert?when he digs down online who go after him first?also everyone needs safe spaces and its up to you to create it as an adult.not everyones elses
Ohrion is now blegh Beetlejuice lollll scream a blegh 3 times and orion apears
😂
Never heard so many "blegh" in one sitting haha. "That arts not for me" 😂😂 The way you said that Steve, oh my word hahaha. Also, Drew, I seriously dislike Lorna Shore too. Don't get it. But I can't get into Disembodied Tyrant either 😅 most deathcore just isn't for me. Anyway! Great episode, legends. As always ☺️ Too much stuff to comment on again, but I really enjoy hearing all your opinions and discussion! Can't wait for more!
Always appreciate your jaunty support Ashleigh! - Steve
👏👏👏 Bravo fellas! Your show has evolved into a wonderful camaraderie between the best of the best. I love the special guest features. Just a bunch of great and smart human beings representing the metal community. The topics are fascinating and the humour is entertaining. Keep it up! ❤
Thanks GOATchele-Elise! - Steve
His girlfriend Saraya is an AEW wrestler, but she used to be in WWE.
Ronnie's character he puts on is not a heel. He's just genuinely a terrible human being with an insanely narcissistic personality and a victim complex. How anyone cannot see this come across in his music and the way he just speaks normally is baffling to me. He's a piece of garbage.
so you know him personally?you are being one since you stating your opinion is fact and putting down others who dont follow your opinion
@ohrionreacts.... i feel so betrayed 😭
I really love this radio station! Great chat, interesting guests. Very relaxing!
I’m 100% here for it
Speaking of genre bending the new song by Atreyu and araurawave 'Inferno' is an incredible mix of reggae and metal.
Oooh you have piqued my interest there… - Steve
36:17 its free marketing 😂😁
I love that falling in reverse is not one style in music, like for me im not a big metalhead but popular monster got me into FIR and then discover other bands to so he doing a great job in making more people discover rock and metal music.
25:27 like what you said and agree that i think to this show's bands what they can archive and do if they keep going:)
Yawn…critics are just failed dreamers who will never do what they wish they could…
Thanks for sharing your opinion, as inaccurate as it may be in this case. We appreciate you. - Steve

1:01:37 round of apple sauce for Steve. Such a way with sleep tok- I MEAN words. words

It is very easy to "separate the art from the artist" when the "controversies" do not effect you. You're not brave for not taking a stance for the sake of "an unbiased review". You are falling in line. You are opening the door for more toxicity.
1st sentence: that makes total sense, I think that's a fair shout, not everyone's experience of events is the same. 2nd sentence: I don't imagine any of us think we're being 'brave', merely authentically ourselves (though I can't speak for the rest of the group). 3rd sentence: personally I don't know what group of people you might think I'm 'falling in line' with 🤔 I'm comfortable with not being part of a larger consensus and am also happy to change my mind when presented with new information. 4th sentence: the tricky thing about society is that as much as it's certainly possible to open a door to more toxicity in some circumstances it's also possible that closing a door could breed worse toxicity behind that door which may blow up way worse later. I think there is a greater benefit to keeping people part of the larger conversations so that everyone has the chance to learn from each other and become more aware of how we can build a better discourse together. - Steve
@@TheMetalRoundup 1. I'm mostly referring to things like Ronnie's transphobia. What he says will not effect a cis person but trans people WILL be more unsafe because of it. 2. Maybe this wasn't fair but I've observed people who decide to side step problematic behavior have a bit of an ego - everyone else is too sensitive but YOU are willing to see past the discourse to appreciate the art. This is nothing new, people have been willing to turn away from bad behavior for the sake of art and talent for a long, long time. Which is - 3. -exactly what people like Ronnie, like Marilyn Manson, like Roman Polanski want. People who have said and done terrible things want others to pay no mind to their actions. That is how they get away with it. That is why all of these individuals and more still have careers. When I say "falling in line" I'm saying you ARE being part of the larger consensus of sacrificing empathy and social progress for the sake of art. Where is the line? 4. A community that is open to all is not safe for all. You can't put a trans person in a room with a transphobe and expect them to feel safe - they literally what them to no longer exist. You can apply this to a POC in a room with a racist, a woman and a misogynist, etc. You are also not building discourse by refusing to talk about the controversies. Drew was the only one to point to what people are angry at Ronnie for - but that gets swept away with putting the art first, refusing to educate yourselves on EXACTLY why what he is saying is hurtful because the Art. Comes. First. So you disregard his views entirely and don't talk about them at all. How can you expect to change anyone's minds with conversation if you don't even actually have one? Sorry for this being long, I wanted to make sure I could convey my thoughts as best I could!

You talk about Sleep Token all you want Steve, lol. I love them that much too. But in all honesty, this set list was sick and we saw them and it was amazing. Also, my husband liked the music but didn't like the theatric singing and he went with me to see them live and loved it. Said it was worth the almost 5 hour drive and had The Night Doesn't Belong to God stuck in his head the next day. There is hope to bring them to the other side, lol.
