Just had this procedure done for my brother who needed a transplant. It’s really not as bad as I thought. Yes I’m sore and there’s some pain, but just take the pain pills you’re prescribed and u should be fine. I honestly would compare it to not working out for awhile then going back to the gym and hitting it hard lol. Again it’s not too bad 🤷🏽♂️.
my procedure is due tomorrow, also for my little brother. your comment comforted me thanks.🌷
@@hhalaaa No problem hope it everything goes smooth! 🙌🏼 Be proud of what you’re doing for your brother! I’m sure he will be forever grateful for it.
I'm so nervous about this procedure
It's fucking painful
I just went through this procedure a couple of days ago to give stem cells to a stranger who needs them. Yes it hurts but it's so worth the pain! Sign up to be a bone marrow donor if you're reading this!
Why tho. What’s the incentive
@@ginobrooks610The incentive is you could save or extend the life of a person with cancer. Isn't that enough?

This procedure does not take back pain away. Just the sciatic nerve pain. If you have discogenic pain, best bet is find the proper movements and practice spinal hygiene. Time will tell if you need a bigger surgery to replace the disc. I’m learning the hard way. This procedure gave me more instability and more inflammation in my back. I’m possibly facing a fusion. I been fighting horrific back pain, swelling, and muscle spasms that go up my lumbar. Everyone is different but from my experience this does nothing for back pain except possibly make it worse. Exhaust all natural options.
Hello and greetings My mom also had a l5S1 microdiscectomy 5 years ago but after operation her back pain got increasingly worsen with swelling of her legs. Doctors said there is no option to reoperate and she has to deal with it all along. Is there any way to get rid of swellings according to your experiences??????
What the hell
I'm looking in to this because feminists
I think it hurts but I love to feel it

Yes they do hammer you. Yes it is painful as fuck.
I had lots of numbing medicine. The doctor screwed the needle into my hip. I felt the pressure and movements but no pain

@@bby.V4MP Hi Lowkey Have you not had general anesthesia? Experiencing a lot of pain is not healthy, causes a lot of oxidative stress and remains a troumatic experience. but I don't know whether general anesthesia can affect the quality of the absorbed bone marrow before making a stem cell procedure? would like to know this ..and also after this process you have to take intensive painkilling pills? Wishing you a speedy recovery. Greetings from the Netherlands.
@@Atheist-Pinar no I was under when it was being done, however the pain afterwards felt like a broken bone. I was on painkillers for about 3 weeks and later moved on to just Ibuprofen
My older brother was my matching stell cell donor and he exactly had that procedure. Lots of love for my brother.
What did ge feel after the procedure? I mean is there a side effect that he felt?
For which problem u did it? Did it help?
How painful was it for him and for you getting them injected? I need to get this done net year but with so many other health issues Ive had to deal with Im scared. I got blood stem cells done in 2014.
Painful demonstration

How long after this procedure is it ‚normal’ to feel some pain or stifness?
It will absolutely last for a while. This is a major surgery in terms of being fairly invasive. Please discuss with your doctor.
Is the same proses for disc desigation l4@l5
Excellent explaination sir. That what I am looking for.
It was just discovered that I have lumbar spondylosis after an X-ray
I had this exact surgery S1 L5 1 week ago. I felt immediate relief from the horrific sciatic pain I had been suffering from the moment I woke up.

How many days it will take to Walk ?
Hi Pam how are you doing now
Hi Pam how are you doing today? Best
How much is for the surgery? U feel better?
What do you do about that bone you had to dig to get access in disc? do patient bears a hole rest of his life?
Im wondering about the exact same thing
I am sure this will be painful for some time , doesn’t look risk free , let’s hope surgeon is very very good
@@I-islam575 There are risks with this surgery.
This video looks very promising. Was wondering if the annulus actually able to close itself if escaped material was removed. Having a herniated disc condition sucks.
Wow gud news
Hello. I have an L4-L5 disc protrusion/herniation. Initially I didn't experience any sciatic pain for about 6 months. However, after a bad stint with a physical therapist I developed sciatic pain in my left leg ever since, accompanied with a popping sound in my back whenever I sit for a prolonged period of time and stand up again. The popping sound feelings like bones rubbing on each other and is very painful. I've seen many doctors both orthopedic and neurosurgeons and have had several MRIs yet none of them gave me an exact reason to the popping sounds and the source of pain. I've been suffering for over 2 years and a half now and might wait 2 more years to consider surgery. I would appreciate some insight if possible about my case and the general capabilities I would regain should I choose to do the surgery as I was very athletic before my injury. I am currently 22 years of age.
We can't give medical advice, however, if you have only seen surgeons I might suggest finding a well regarded physiatrist that may be able to offer non-invasive options. An epidural injection is often a first line treatment. You could ask if that might be appropriate.
@@Dgmedicalanimations I've already had a ESI and it didn't help and went to a physical therapist and she kinda caused my sciatic pain which wasn't there initially
@@FirstTimeUsingNet how was your back now ?
@@__sankarapandian_23 Didn't do the surgery yet. Pain comes and goes depending on the amount of physical activity I do and other factors. I will be doing the surgery as I have literally exploited any and every other option there is. Now it is just a matter of time and finding the right doctor.
@@FirstTimeUsingNet Hey mate. I feel you. Popping sound in my spine and hip every day when I roll on the bed or sit for long. Are you experiencing lower back pain and spasms? I am having for the past 5 months.

Nice
I’m looking L5 S1 microdiscectomy surgery plz update details how much it cost Etc
Only your local surgeon can answer that.
Something 1 lakh rupees
so the nucleus of the disc removed. doed it stay empty inside?
Only the part that has already protruded is removed, not all of it. What is removed is not replaced.
Looks simple and good .
Quite good video, awesome!
Ive been recommended for this surgery but most pf my pain is in my back from the herniated disc, most people only have lef pain so im worried if this will even help my back pain
Definitely get at least two opinions on if this is the right surgery for you. It's not a decision to take lightly and should be considered a last resort after all other treatments.
Did you get surgery in the end? I did. It was the best thing I ever did.
@@rayevo7468did u get this surgery?
Any updates? I only have back pain as well from my l4l5 herniated disc so I don’t know whether to get this surgery or not...
ray evo I got the surgery but it didn’t help much, I ended up getting disc replacement surgery and that got me back to work and playing sports
how about ozone discectomy?
Have you ever tried that
...
This is something I feel that I need. I have a protrusion in L5/S1.
Sorry to hear that, Jon! You may, but work with your doctors and physical therapists to do all you can possibly do with conservative treatment first and be sure that, if you do get a surgical consult, you go over all the risks of the surgery. Spine surgery should always be considered a last resort.
Do it. Best thing I ever did
I agree. Do it. Don't wait, or rely on cortisone shots. They usually don't work, and neurosurgeons are usually booked up 3+ months in advance.
@@Dgmedicalanimations I had surgery for my herniated disc L5 S1. I asked about risks. I don't recall my surgeon stating death as one of the risks, or paralyzation either. Are those also risks?
