POV DH Race Run - Snowshoe, WV
Переглядів 1434 роки тому
First ever DH race was a success! Placed 6th out of 28 riders! Definitely played it safe and left some time/effort on the table, along with missing out on some "sneaky" lines; full gas next time! Run Time: 6:43.0

Can't wait to get up to race pace again between the tape! POV of me pushing a little after a long day of riding in Lynchburg, Va. Trails are Upper Bobsled and Downhill; one of my favorite runs on Liberty Mountain.
SHEEEEEEEEESH
Great vid! Is this enough for a green/blue trail on a bike park? Thanks!
Damn I gotta jump off a building
Awesome footage, I’m looking at getting this same bike later this year. Looks spot on for the money.
Awesome🤘 well done :)
Its been 5 months. Yo where dat review at
www.fanatikbike.com/blogs/engage/2022-transition-mixed-wheel-patrol-mullet-bike-long-term-review
Im stuck on Revel Rascal or Transition Patrol. Does the Rascal have enough for lots of rocky trails?
is it a quiet bike dude? rad riding, wondering whether go carbon or alloy on a sentinel but want the quietest bike
How much does she weigh? 39lbs?
my medium xt build is 34 pounds
Bad ass bike and HOLY CRAP were you flying!
Wow what a trail ! I was waiting for the commentary to begin then I realised what you were riding down . # waaay to busy to talk !
I went to see this bike today!! I’m torn because I like the Rail but I’ve never ridden one ! I don’t hit big jumps and I want a bike that climbs well but also can do a bike park sometimes 👍
Nice job on your video, that trail looks like a lot fun
awesome video dude. nice bike nice camera angle and awesome skills
Nice! I waiting on my Med Raw frame too. Im 5'10 and run a L 2018 Patrol. New Medium is just as long as old Large, so i hope its a little flickier for me. It looks like youre running a Zeb...how do you like it? I picked one up, but now im wondering if a Lyrik woulda been enough at 185lbs. BTW, Darrington is fn magical. Hadnt ridden Jackpot yet, but Skyline and Out Of The Blue are rippin.
Im also running a 2018 patrol now and just got a 21 L on order. I'm interested to see how the larger bike feels
Thanks for the ride!..
That right there is my dream bike but I want raw alloy!
If only all bike videos skipped the music and commentary!
What's your GoPro setup?
That Rig is absolutely SILENT! I love it
Looks like it rips!
i just ordered the raw color one from my lbs here in spokane it should be here mid august ,i like the blue color better but it is out till feb or march , so how do you like it , what size is yours
I have a 2017 alloy Patrol that I chemically stripped and the RAWWW looks sick AF! You won't have to worry about it because yours will have a Factory finish, but when I picked mine up (left the frame/chain stays solid black and stripped the entire front triangle) I immediately sprayed it wd-40 and took steel wool pads to it about 4 and used em till they disentigrated. The important part is to ALWAYS brush in one direction and one ONLY. Sure it makes seat tube and head tube a hassle but it makes all the difference. Then I doused a chamois in 100% acetone and wiped the entire front triangle clean, then repeated the process but with a Scotch scuff pad. They last longer than the steel wool I think i only went through one complete one and most of another with wd-40 course. And then wiped the whole thing down again with a clean shammy and acetone. That's how you get that luminous clouded brushed alloy finish like RAAW has. it's also how you avoid that mirror like chrome looking finish that was hella popular with GT BMX's back in the 90s
Nice, I'm riding a size large. I love it so far! It's the type of bike that feels more comfortable the steeper and rougher the trail gets
@@bkstancil225 how tall are you , i am 5' 9'' and i ordered a medium ,hopefully it's the right size
@@dannywild100 I am 5'10; A medium could still work for you, but I have always felt more comfortable on size Large bikes
@@dannywild100 how did you end up feeling on the medium? I'm 5' 9 1/2 and stuck between sizes as well.
Nice 👍🏻 Thanks for taking the time and effort to make it and upload it. Peace ✌🏻
Been looking at the Rascal for some time now. I’m between sizes like you at 5’10” and have no way to demo. I’d definitely be interested in your part 2 on a large to get your feedback. Good review!
I may be of some use. Ridden both and at 5'9, I wouldn't go to the large. The medium really preserves the playfullness and agility that it think this bike does well with. The large is a touch longer in reach, but feels way longer than the medium due to the ETT being an extra ~30mm longer. At 5'10/11 I Think it really depends on your inseam and preferred reach. If you've got long legs, and like a longer bike, large should be the ticket. If you don't have long legs, don't like a longer bike, or prefer playfulness, I'd say go medium.
Looking forward to more first impressions
Yea very sstable tyres. They made trackstands alot easier they transition well and stay stable at extreme turning angle. I currently have 23mm rims but they feel good even with that narrow rim. I have Cush CORE Pro. They roll better than high roller 2, despite being heavier, that's due to the closer knobs, but it does not fet clogged up with mud easily thanks to the side knob spacing. Love how these tyres handle. It actually has made my bike even easier to ride.
Hell dude that's a long race lol 🤙
Awesome review! You mentioned no pinch flats experienceed. Is that with no inserts? Just curious.
Ive just gone to these and I can say they hold up to a lot as Im a peaks rider.! I have no inserts and they work well. Not sure about the inserts but i may try them.
@@BikingVikingMTB Thanks for the info.
Where in PNW is this? Not like the exact trail or anything; just the area if you'd be so kind. I've been considering PNW towns myself.
Thanks for the review. Did you have to change the tire in the rear for your 1200 miles ?
I’m sold! Going to buy a set now!
best video i have ever seen
