    Good advice to preride. And also just constantly check in with how your feeling throughout the day. I saw another video up on youtube from the joy of bike folks that had a good system for assessing if you should hit a feature or trail. You ask yourself if you are Red, yellow or green like the traffic light. Green is you are physically good, mentally good and confident/stoked to hit it. Yellow is apprehensive and red is full stop. But his advice was Yellow is also Red. If there is apprehension don't hit it that run. Curious do ride with a full face helmet?

    • @rmbtd
      @rmbtd Місяць тому

      @@brokermacelectrified totally understandable how a crash like this could deviate your interest in MTBing. I would recommend that you try to focus more on the joy and health benefits that MTBing provides you, rather than just on this one isolated incident. Nonetheless, we know the dangers of riding and it's not a matter of "if" but when we'll crash and fall. A good option would be to ride green trails, and just enjoy riding more for the views and health rather than for the thrills and risk. And you'll likely still get a great workout from the climb. Nonetheless, you'll make the decision that's best for you, and it's totally okay if ultimately you decide to not ride anymore. Whatever you decide, best of luck moving forward.

    Hey, you seem like a really nice guy and every thing you have said sounds like what we say in the UK as "being fobbed off". Its an insult to your kindness and intelligence as a paying customer. The Bike shop should know that saying sorry is not an admission of guilt and they should do everything in their power to 1) accept there are problems with the bike and 2) either replace or fix. Just saying "it happens" or " lets see how it goes" is the laziest way to get you out of the shop so they can move on to the next sucker who is next in line to buy. I know there are a few issues, but the battery is the one that stuck out to me the most. How can it be wear and tear when these bikes are supposed to be ridden 20K+ miles?? Please kick up a stink and do not let them walk over you bro. If you need any advise in dealing with their customer service, let me know. I will definitely make your issues and the way you have been treated by Santa Cruz available to the whole world.

    This is a dream bike, sitting at the top of the premium list of brands.
