I'm so sorry you think that I'm putting someone down but this is only to make those who say they know the Lord and is a pastor of a church but not following the royal law that the holy spirit is the one who works through someone to do the Lord's work. If you think Joel is doing the work of the Lord then you don't know the Bible either. In the past, this gross association between wealth and Jesus was largely a thing for slimey televangelists, but sadly it isn’t anymore- this illness has permeated into much of American Christian culture, and it’s making all of us sick. With new mega churches cropping up every few days, the Christian idolatry of buildings, bodies, and bucks combined with secular idolatry that promotes the God of “me”, we have been polluted by money to the point that it is hindering the Kingdom and keeping us from following Jesus. This association with wealth is inappropriate for those who wish to follow Jesus. Jesus is not the one who said “let me show you how to live your best life now” or “Come, let me show you eight steps to having the life you want”. I would suspect that when we read of ‘wonders and signs’ taking place in the church we would think of miraculous healings and such, but in my mind the greatest miracle is when naturally self-seeking, materialistic men and women begin to sell their property and share with everyone their hard-earned assets. Now here is a true miracle. How many people do you know who are willing to renounce possession of their material goods and share with those who have material needs? How many Christians like this do you know of? As I said, here, indeed, is a greater wonder, a manifestation of some great change which has taken place because of the Lord Jesus and the coming of His Spirit to the church.Acts 2:42-45 Later in this same epistle Paul wrote: “Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy” (1 Tim. 6:17). Yes I have seen all his shows as that is what it is he became pastor to take place of his father ot because he was lead by the holy spirit he does not talk about repentance or sin in his church but look at how so many people time and time again bring this up and you still want to stand beside a person who follows the will of Man and money. While i still construct a reply to your previous message, if you claim to have seen all his messages, did you miss the fact that he ALWAYS closes with a call for salvation and repentance from sin? I doubt if you have listened to ANY Joel Osteen sermon and Joel Osteen NEVER PREPARED to be a preacher.. he loved working behind the scenes and God called him to pastor the Church when his Dad died, are you suggesting that his father was a false preacher too? because even his father stated that he was fit to pastor the church. In all that he does, he prospers? What makes you come to the conclusion that Joel's eyes are fixed on his riches and not on God? Doesn't he state clearly in this interview series that good prosperity and success of all kinds come from God, Joel Osteen emphasizes the importance of the scriptures as written in Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. You quoted Mt 19:21 - now just like the disciples i am asking.. if this is the criteria, then who can be saved? because EVEN YOU are not going to give up all you have to the poor. Jesus replied in verse 26 that with God this is possible, are you suggesting that Joel does not see the importance of God on our path to attaining heaven? Who says Joel is not a massive giver? i mean if we are to dabble down to this basic truth argument, Joel, his wife, family and ministry always give out their money to help others. In Joel's interview with Piers Morgan on CNN he said, We are blessed to be a blessing and help others. And what is the basis for your claim that Joel Osteen's motivation comes from money? the man gives up his full yearly salary. If money was whom he served do you think he'd still be pressing on and on in the Lord's work? hasn't he made enough for two lifetimes? Lakewood church always accepts phone calls and Joel's mother Dodie Osteen (the woman that was healed of Terminal cancer, or that was the work of magic too?) hosts a Pastoral Care Ministry where you can get prayer and counselling and even financial assistance. What evidence suggests that Joel Osteen serves money? Did he do something wrong by writing a best seller? He does not take a salary from his church, and he gives a lot to help the needy. He proved that in his interview with Oprah and the words from heresy hunters was that "giving his blood earned money would not get him to heaven", do you see how no matter what he does, he gets criticized? Oh and a side note if Joel serves money or is does not believe in our lord Jesus Christ, do you think he would have sustained his marriage for 30 years after making this much money?

Give to the poor has he walked in the new york street to knock on doors trying to find the poor? does he answer the people who call out on his page on facebook does his wife who asks for 10% from people wearing booties as a dress code as the bible sad we should dress simple manner in church wearing dangles on the ears and fancy dress wear please don't get me started I am and many know he is the Lord's child but not doing the great will of God.
