Hey buddy, I just thought of something for your version here... I think the 2000 Village Session extra vocals that were evidently removed from the 2008 Official version would've fit a lot better for this ending... When you listen/re-listen to that Session again, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about... Just so you're aware, there's 2 different lyrics takes... 1. There's one during the middle of the song before the solo. *"If the world would end than our love slipped awaaayy"* 2. The 2nd lyric is close to the end where it's actually extended. *"If the world would end than our love slipped away, ooh", "If the world would end than our love slipped away oooh, ooh-ooh"*
