Road from Katima Mulilo, Namibia to Botswana and Zambia
Переглядів 2,2 тис.3 роки тому
This is the road towards the Katima Mulilo border post. There are two border posts; one to Zambia via the M10 (THIS ROAD IS ATROCIOUS), and the other border post is through Botswana to Zambia via the A33. This is a short detour and well worth the few extra bucks you pay to enter Botswana.... and miss the Infamous M10! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!
Welwitschia Forest, Messum Crater, Namibia

The Welwitschia is one of those sights that just brings a high level of joy t your heart. If you are lucky enough to. see a 20 or 30 of them on your journey in Namibia, you'll be over the moon. On the way to Messum Crater, coming from Coast, you come across a whole valley of Welwitschia, which after an hour and a half of really corrugated roads, it's an awesome sight to behold.....
Road towards Namibia's own 'Dead Sea'
Переглядів 503 роки тому
Namibia has a man made 'Dead Sea'. Although this pool of water is quite hard to get to, and you will Definitely need a 4x4 vehicle to do so, it is soooo worth the day drive. You can swim in the pool of water and due to its high concentration of salt, you will actually float. Take at least 2 to 5 litres of extra water with you to wash off the extra salt from you body. This video is based around ...

Beautiful city with wide roads. It seems hot though.
May Mozambique rise to such a level that desperate Indians will come to beg for jobs and residency.
Hey man, you havent uploaded in a while. Are you safe? All good?
A friend of mine since 1974 (and after that, forgotten) contacts me, telling he's living in Mosambik. And doing well there. Well, I've been living in Philippines 15 years, married there -- but now I just itch to visit Mosambik. Thanks for you video.
As if South Africa is a rich country! Come on dude, what on earth are you thinking? I have been to Johannesburg where dacoity, lawlessness and dirty neighbourhoods goes hand in hand where ever you go... Maputo with the given resources Mozambique has, is a beautiful city with nice people ❤
I just came across this. Can't compare Moz with South Africa. Maybe the Nigerians can. Mozambique is a POVERTY STATISTIC. It compares with Lesotho, Tanzania etc. Most crime committed in South Africa is by foreigners from your country. For all I know the car you drive was stolen in MaNguzi. In South africa Mozambicans either sell peanuts or steal. Come visit our prisons & c how many of your compatriots are incarcerated for petty to serious crime.
❤🎉
I wish I had a £ for everytime I have travelled along these roads they would never get away with some of the things here in the UK if anyone goes to Maputo and they want to get around the mini buses stop and pick people up until they are full to overflowing but are very cheap, also a good way is to hail a VIVA taxi down where they monitor the fare on smart phones remember to get their mobile number for future use, the green and yellow taxis are way to expensive you should have gone over the new bridge going to Katembe it is a fantastic bridge overlooking the bay and people also use what is what I called madness where people sit on the back of flat bed lorries linking their arms so they do not fall off I have seen maybe 40 or so people using this mode of transport good video by the way
What condescending drivel passing off as commentary. If you are from SA, then you are not the one to look down on others mate. Typical white bullshit when you know when start a commentary with ‘ interesting’ if you keep you holier than attitude to yourself and shit up, your video would be a bit more ‘ interesting’
Driving with your 1ton vehicle this close to a thousand year old plant and you think you are not damaging the root system!? Why don't you rather get out and walk closer if you want to see a close up? It is so sad to see how many of these majestic plants have already been damaged and driven over by selfish people. Please respect and protect this extremely sensitive environment and plants. Please do not drive "off the beaten track" here.
Do you work with transportation in Maputo? Tks

I'm planning to visit Tanzania one day
how they driving on the left side of the road although Mozambique wasn't a British colony ???
Influence of South Africa?
@@Enzo8mmSA In fact, all the borders of Mozambique are former British colonies and all of them drive on the left side.
was it sandy?
What happened to the end of the video?
Nice video. Did you upload the A33 Video? Planning a road trip from Lusaka to Windhoek soon. M10 is in the ICU for now.
Enjoyed the video, the only thing is I wished you had gotten out of the vehicle and given a close up shot.
Saudações do Brasil 🇧🇷
Its a shithole by any standard. The whole of Mozambique is. Worked and lived there for many years. Rather visit Croatia or Russia.
Nice
High analytical skills 👌
I'm proud to be here today Much love from Uganda 🇺🇬 I'm doing travel vlog video's
Moz ! What a lovely country. I am living here since 2013, met lots and lots of good, genuine & friendly people. I hope they can do something about never ending corruption, it is crushing their economy to the core. What a wonderful country unfortunately being ill treated by corrupt officials. It's kinda heartbreaking to witness. Good video lad stay safe

Beautiful city, from Bangladesh
That is hectic, we will be visiting there in the next week.
Thats sooooo awesome. Enjoy... you'll LOVE it
You sound like a radio announcer.
Well, it's not rocket science what needs to be done...and it's not welcome to Africa but welcome to Mozambique. You can't compare the Netherlands with Ukraine. Swaziland has beautiful roads and SA that compare if not better than the UK in some places. Anyways, you good overall observation. If I was president of Mozambique, that would be sorted overnight 😅
Mozambique is in Africa so yes, it is "welcome to Africa"
It doesn't look like africa..
Hi Hazri. I know right. the romantic view of deep jungles and animals roaming around is a nice one, but large pieces of Africa is sometimes more developed than some European towns :-)
It's not, it's Mozambique. You don't compare India with Pakistan or China...just a minor correction. Nigeria is closer to Europe than it is to Mozambique, I'm not being funny just that we need to compare each country individually. Mexico is not compared to the US or Canada.
@@cazsdee3760lol how can Nigeria closer to Europe with that poor infrastructure? Please stop talking nonsense..maputo it's developed and well organized than Nigerian cities.....
@@rossbank7248 nigeria is closer to europe in distance.
@@landz2228 But southern African countries have same weather with European countries....There's snows in southern Africa just Europe and not too much .. I mean southern African countries are well organized and developed than west Africa including Nigeria...so to me southern are closer to Europe in term of infrastructure and weather...do you know the reason why millions of Europeans settled in southern Africa than Nigeria and west Africa? It's because of weather
My Origin country 🇿🇦 if I see Mozambik reminds me: Penny Penny, Ntombi Marhumbin, Makhanana,Zaida Chogwe,Vuyelwa on 90s ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Where was this ? Just North of Mababe Gate heading for Savuti. You took Left fork - Sand Ridge rather than Marsh Road ….. ? Or am I wildly out
Hi there. Apologies for the late reply, Ive been in Kaokaland wild camping with no signal. You are spot on with the road :-)
Your camera work is very decent. I did notice that you haven't encountered much wildlife. Nothing like a lone oryx out there. Best wishes my friend, China is still very far from where you are now. New fans from Swakopmund.
Hi Norbert. Thanks for the comment. Yes you're right. Not many animals around at all. When I was in Sesriem there were sssooo many Oryx, and I see the occasional wild ostrich or little buck.... but not a heck of a lot of animals in general. Zambia is next on the list, so keep watching and you'll probably see a bucket of animal sightings in the videos :-)

Scary pass!
Some pretty sharp twists and turns. Thank goodness the road is in great condition :-)

You seem to be driving this from South to North. I have done it in the opposite direction. If you were going South to North, how does one get permission?
Hi Quinton. Just call Louvain and pay the R200 before hand. They will whatsapp / sms the gate key lock number for you to enter :-)
Kokerboom is a Quivertree. I think the tree got its name from the Bushman using hollowed branches of the tree for carrying their hunting arrows. In Afrikaans the tube in which the arrows are carried, is called a koker.
