Also it's pretty hard if you don't already have a customer base and when people can book their own trips on airline websites or booking.com etc. I love how MLMs always say you only need a few hours per week when you sign up, but then if you leave they say you didn't work hard enough. This is a classic case of that.

OK so there are 9-5 workers who earn a lot...so what? At least they don't have to pay their company a fee each month or recruit others into the company...The training in the backoffice was honestly very limited (it could have changed now) and also when I was a member there were a lot of Covid restrictions so it was pretty hard to book travel...which only leaves recruitment...and an MLM without a product is just a pyramid scheme.

@@goldsilvertravel I hear you. It may have drastically changed. People were still making money and traveling during the pandemic. Travel goes up, it may go down, but it never goes away. The product has and always will be the travel agency. The travel agency books travel. A decrease in sales does not mean it isn’t a product. Apply that mentality to every business. It’s an inaccurate statement. One business is a marketing agency for a travel company. The partnership (after 8 years) has resulted in a growth from less than 6,000 to 120,000 agents. In the last 8 years there have been 3 billion in travel booking sales. This year alone we’re on pace to hit 1 billion. Every company needs a marketing strategy. I know because my coaching business needs improvement in marketing. 😅 And a marketing agency has overhead, as does any company. People that are not business owners do not understand monthly overhead. When you go to work, there’s overhead that has to be paid to run the business, ministry, whatever. But to your point, it’s been awhile since you’ve left. Sure, any business has overheads, what you need to do is make sure your revenue exceeds the overheads. Hard to do when there are so many low-cost airlines and booking sites where people can just book themselves. Also, 120k agents? That shows the market is saturated. Basically the instagram/social media world right now is full of 18-30yo girls calling themselves travel agents when some of them have probably never even been abroad...I hope you wake up and leave Inteletravel.

I actually don't have to leave because my main business is a coaching business and I added the travel division to supplement my group trips and retreats that I take my clients and prospective clients on so it works perfectly for me. I don't see how anyone makes money from Inteletravel when they have such a bad reputation anyway, plus the high monthly-fee just to be a part of it. Not really, his review is backassward, that is the reason why. For instance the Planner Marketing component is a separate company that was started not long compared to how long InteleTravel has been around. Furthermore, it it also explained that you don't have to join that side of you do not want to, but since it's just $19.99 to join it, most do even if they just want to do the travel portion and not the Network Marketing opportunity. Lastly, there is a huge difference between MLM pyramid schemes and Network Marketing. Sprint and Excel both were Network Marketing companies before going public. Knowing actual facts and not rambling off makes more sense. Yes he has his experience that was not his cup of tea, sure many go thru the same. But he also didn't put anything into it per his own words. There are other travel companies like he said, but the upstart is way more as he said as well.

Not sure when I said I didn't put anything into it. I said it was very hard to do so when you're not established, plus there are so many other companies and people can book directly assuming they have internet access which most people do these days. Sometimes you have to call the office and email them too - you'll get it back as long as you followed all the rules in the program.

I'll have to look at that one. There's a lot of other anti-MLM content on youtube too. Some of the things people do to get people to sign up is just crazy. I've seen the movie on Herbalife too.

They were desperate to have it banned. They succeeded temporarily. But today its unbanned and free for all to watch on youtube. This was literally the first ever anti mlm video ever made. This is historic.

Even now not many people talk about them. But they aren't as big in the UK or Europe as they are in the US.

In the UK the government CAN access your banking info without your permission. That's why companies like Vinted are warning people to declare all their income.

Also in most EU countries, there is very little banking privacy. The UK is fast becoming cashless, as are many European countries. Not declaring your income will be impossible soon.

True but there's a lot of people who say the same or similar things to what I said in my video. I'd recommend you look at Dear Society or Pyramid Hunters videos. I know it's hard to find clients, for any business, but my issue is that when the huns try and sign people up, they never say any of the negative aspects of the business. They just say you can do it for 1 or 2 hours per week. Then when people fail they say it's your fault. I really hope pyramid schemes like inteletravel get shut down

Yes, it seems to be heavily focused on recruiting and they just sign anyone up as long as you pay the fee. Another reason not to use them.

By the way you don't own the business... You pay a fee to use their name and ABTA number. You don't get shares in the business or anything.

My dear, amazon and Google do not use network marketing. They may use affiliate marketing, ad sales etc. And if you have an update income disclosure scheme then let me know. Could you also let me know how long you've been with the company and how much money you've made? I agree 100% with you that it's important we BOTH get our facts correct.

Yes, because in MLMs the product doesn't really matter. Actually the products are often sub-standard or overpriced, because the emphasis is all on recruiting others.

I still think you should pursue having a travel business if that's what you want, just not with inteletravel. You could be a travel blogger or look at other (non MLM) companies

Actually you have to declare any income you earn that isn't taxed...so they have to give you the 1099. Glad that you like the company but I don't think theyre ethical personally. You should see some of the undercover zoom meetings. Some real nasty people in that company. Take care and stay safe...

I totally agree. Whether it's a corporate job or side hustles or a mixture of both, you can be successful without being in an MLM.

I think you'll find I have updated the comments to add the 2023 income disclosure statement for plannet marketing (same as inteletravel) and yes, I do know that 'technically' it's not a pyramid scheme because they have a product. But just because something is legal, doesn't mean it's right. 2023 is the most recent income disclosure statement and you can clearly see that most people earn NOTHING so you should do your own research before joining.

Less than 10 euros, easily. It's a very affordable place. The high end menu items or restaurants would be more, but an average meal in an average restaurant, even in Funchal, shouldn't be more than around 10.

I'd recommend Pestana Casino Park - they're a good brand, well-known in Madeira and have lovely swimming pools. That is very true, just because 1 agent is bad doesn't mean the whole company is bad. However, I found there was a real 'herd mentality' with Intele. They all think the same way. If you ask for help they just say go to your upline. And they have such a bad reputation that some people will not use them and a lot of Facebook groups do not allow Intele agents to advertise. Some suppliers also stopped working with them because the agents have no training and don't know what they're doing.
