i remember going to a game against indiana in the UC when he first came back from the acl, he was draining threes and blowing past everybody. He was a legit allstar player probably until the season he made the playoffs with new york, but media and opportunities limited from injuries are the only thing that obstructed him from earning more accolades. I think he is a very unique case of injuries though because he had success that no other like him has ever reached.

I could tell you were starting to tear up when you started talking about how unfair things were. When he was young I really didn’t like him only because he would always embarrass the lakers 😂 but in the later years I think we all were pulling for him. I dont know how the nba or the bulls will honor him but i would love to see his #1 in the rafters one day and him have the chance to recite a hall of fame speech as well. He was a special player!

Sorry for all the random pauses. At times it was just hard to find what to say next because I still don’t really believe it and because I didn’t want to look all too crazy with a few people around. But Derrick Rose to me is a hero, a legend, an icon and as someone who has lived my whole life near Chicago he gave me hope. He made me believe I could bounce back and do great things. I knew this day would come eventually but just wasn’t mentally prepared for it… much like all the injuries I suppose… but Derrick Rose will forever be the person that made me the basketball fan I am today. This channel wouldn’t be a thing without him and it’s only right to continue to make the best content I can because striving for greatness was always in his DNA. Thank you, D-Rose! 🌹

He was a sensational player! I still remember his game winner against the Cavaliers in the playoffs and he tested all the greatest players in the league. Will forever be remembered, deserves his jersey retire and to me he is a hall of famer as well 🌹🐐

YES! He has 7 rings with 3 different teams. He more than earned his place in the Hall of Fame.

I would say AD is an underrated defender now. He’s historically been on track to be the DPOY since he entered the league, and his actual greatness of defense is overshadowed by a ton of things. Remember, he was supposed to be an MVP candidate every year. As great as he is, people genuinely expected LeBron levels of greatness from him. People compare him to his time in NO when he was basically the only player outside of 1 or 2 seasons and feel like he kinda fell off in terms of dominance. His susceptibility to injuries also doesn’t help.

I think Nash has a good argument for being in multiple categories. Passing of course, shooting is possible and I’d argue longevity because his peak hit after he turned 30 and was all nba past 36

I can see justification for #2, but over rated since people try to put him on MJ's level. quits on defence, and flops too often compared to other greats. desperately trying to proclaim himself the goat too often, while making excuses on losses. Lost the most times with super teams than anyone not KD. Even with the most loaded superteams(olympics and fiba), he often lost or almost lost while being heavy favorites. vid is old but got gifted play in tournament mvp, and 2024 olympic mvp, which should of gone to AD and curry.
