    This guy probably asked can I go behind the counter to try out combinations, filmed a video, told us he bought one but never did. We never saw the finished product.

    I have that same Vaughn and literally make a living with it. I also enjoy working with nice things, all my hand tools are milwaukee, nice chisels and planes. But that vaughn is a beast and i swear by it.

    Nope ota not worth it. Your grand dad has done it with a old hickory handle for generations. Some titanium and a few powder coats of neon colors aint justification for the price of a hammer.

  • @mobilegameclips5628

    “Hold on let me swap my hammer head” For the price of these junk hammers that have a threaded on head which will damage over time because that’s an awful idea you could own 2 of every style of hammer instead. Man I thought I was being silly when I spent like $25 on a Milwaukee framing hammer knowing damn well I have other hammers but now I feel like I was being reasonable.

    that vaughn straight handle is an absolute monster of a hammer, and is really truly all you need. i’m tired of people saying titanium is better for vibration reduction w/o science to prove that it’s better than a standard hickory handle on a steel head. Don’t get me wrong, these are very nice pieces of kit, but i don’t think anyone should buy something like this unless you absolutely have the money to fuck off. It’s not necessary and should be really really really far down on the priority list for guys.

    My grandpa would probably knock me ass out if I bought something THAT stupid. All that hammer does is introduce more parts than necessary. Maybe it's just me but I prefer using the wooden handled framing hammer over anything. Things being expensive doesn't mean they are good quality. Your hammer introduces many points of failure and the biggest one would be that set screw that holds the hammer head on. I don't care what the screw might be made up of screws and bolts are not designed for impacts screws, bolts, & nuts are fasteners they hold things together however they can and do back out over time and over long term use. The threads would see some serious damage and due to the handle being titanium if you ever need to replace it it's going to be far more expensive than just buying an off the shelf handle for a regular hammer head. Expensive doesn't necessarily mean good quality. My grandpa's hammer which is the same one as the wooden handled hammer in the video is about 20 years old. It has the original handle and that is the newest hammer my grandparents own. My grandpa has hammers that are probably much older than I am that still work perfectly and in fact works better than some of the newer tools I've bought recently.

  • @fejdyd
    @fejdyd 12 днів тому

    wouldnt screw sheer off the threads on that hammer after a few hits?

  • @NathanialSmarup
    @NathanialSmarup 13 днів тому

    I like the head design but the handle not so much they could just make heads with eyes like a average hammer and would have wooden handles shaped to be like the titanium one

  • @jordanellis4848
    @jordanellis4848 15 днів тому

    The wood handle absorbs shock and is easily and cheaply replaced, all those threads and weak points are going to break easier then a normal hammer

    If you dont want to spend the money dont spend the money, but, a Martinez is a far superior hammer to an Estwing. It isnt even close. Why make fun of people that want to buy a better product.
