Hi Floz, I just found your channel this week and have watched all your videos from the beginning. My favourite project of yours is Paris in Flowers by Luca S. I have this kit too, but haven't yet started it. After you saying that you got the pattern on Saga, I went hunting for it, so now I have it too for when I'm ready. My dad kept greyhounds most of his life, so it's always lovely to see your dogs and have that reminder of my dad who passed away some years ago. Loved seeing the retreat footage, I've never been to a retreat. I'm not sure I could justify the expense to sit in a room and esentially do what I can do at home, I might try it one day though. I think the best part would be seeing everyone's projects. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that you've been keeping me company the last few days whilst I've been stitching. Thank you for the company while I stitched 💜 One thing with Jk’s, I know their postage may seem more but she always keeps the product prices as low as possible. Some businesses put the shipping costs in the products to offset the “free” shipping. It often evens out whoever you choose. Small business is always best imo ☺️ Another great one for 95c dmc is Craftee Threads. I just tried them for the first time recently ☺️🪡✨💜

Great video, I enjoyed it as always. I saw you mention Catkin & Lillie in your retreat video and again today and meant to post last time that they have a UA-cam channel and do fantastic flosstubes - it’s one of my favourite channels to follow! Cat stitches a variety of different projects and also makes tutorial videos as well as the usual flosstubes.

Once again really enjoy watching your videos. I live in Kansas, USA and find it interesting listening to you talk about your days in Australia. Your projects are always so engaging and inspiring. You are unique and I always look forward to watching.

Hi Florina. Great review! Thank you for making it. I agree it was a terrific retreat - relaxed, organised, friendly, great venue. Looking forward to the next one! You got some good stitching done. I did a bit more on the retreat piece today. I think another 4 hours will see it done. Then I need to decide whether or not to make it into a biscornu! ⚘️

Thanks for sharing, Floz. I couldn't get there this time but hoping to go next time. I loved seeing all your haul. Pink heath is the state floral emblem of Victoria. I love Fuzzy Fox Designs - her patterns are cute & easy to follow. That bird pattern is sweet too - beautifully stitched, Laura. It looks like it's sitting on wattle too - so more Aussie looking. Catkin & Lilly is a UK flosstuber - she's very sweet and I find her voice soothing to listen to. Will need to watch the rest of the video tomorrow night - too tired right now!

I'm about 2 months late, but, regarding the HAEDS, you have to remember that once it's displayed, it won't be viewed as close as when you are right now. Your eyes should resolve some of the pixelation once you step away from the piece. The koala is just a tiny part of a much larger piece.

Would it be best to at least open the stand box and make sure it’s correct and all there? I know of someone who left a box they ordered (not cross stitch stand) when they eventually got to it they had been sent the wrong item. Took a headache to then get that sorted out.

Your finished Dungeon Master is gorgeous and the bunnies are adorable. Have fun on the retreat, and after a full day of stitching and talking...a few hours of down time is good!

Hello. just found your flosstube, lovely video 🥰 You have some lovely patterns, those bunnies are so cute! can't wait to see them finished 🥰 I like the idea of having a crafting budget, I'm trying to do something similar because otherwise I am far too prone to impulse buying things, especially on Etsy, and although each bit isn't that much, it all adds up. I'm also massively into Dnd! I started listening to a dnd podcast maybe 5 years ago and I've since branched out to several others and last year finally managed to get into a group to start playing! We play online so sadly we don't have any mini's, but we do meet up once a year for a weekend, it's the best weekend of the year 🥰 I'm also doing a cross stitch for my group, I'm doing a little sleeping dragon but I've converted the colour of the dragon to suit each person. Then I'm going to turn them into dice trays 😁 I talked about it on my last flosstube episode (and maybe the one before? can't remember) and will be uploading another flosstube soon when I've finished another one (just the cross stitch bit lol, I'm going to do the dice tray bit last lol) I recently started watching Critical Role - I've tried it several times but their episodes are so long I always gave up but I started watching the prime series and that was really good, so I'm using it as motivation for getting on the treadmill (I've recently started running on a treadmill as I am also very out of shape, hoping to get a bit fitter and I feel like that's good motivation haha). If you are into Dnd shows, I'd highly recommend Dimension 20 (you can watch some of their early campains on youtube but later seasons are on their streaming service - which honestly is my favourite streaming service now, it does other content as well, and I really enjoy it). I also listen to podcasts - if there's one I think you should listen to, it's Worlds Beyond Number - it's so good, it is genuinely my favourite at the moment. Tremendous story telling and absolutely gorgeous soundtrack 😍 I look forward to seeing more of your videos 🥰

I remembered you saying how hard it is to find chinese-themed cross stitch patterns. I had a look on google recently and agree - there really isn't much other than the Great Wall or flowers, which is both surprising and disappointing. You might need to design one? I like your idea for a different kind of stitch with me. It will be interesting to see how that works and the start and finish photos of what gets done in the time. Is it possible to move or copy your old stitchy videos from the other channel to this one? Pilates sounds good. Hope it's working for you. Re talking to people at the retreat, I'd say start by asking about their project. The Unconventional chart I liked best was the lady on the balcony. I've been working on Lizzie Kate's Christmas Rules. It was in craft prison but I've abbreviated it and changed some parts. Two more stitching sessions will do it. ⚘️

Your bunny cross stitch is adorable! I like your idea for a stitch with me; I don’t watch the usual type as I don’t find it very enjoyable watching a small piece of a project the whole time (even though I’m only glancing up from my stitching every now and again). I like the phoenix best from those charts you’ve shown. I hope you enjoy the retreat - I’m an introvert and haven’t been brave enough to attend one yet. I do workouts on UA-cam, including Pilates occasionally (although I admit Pilates isn’t my favourite). There are some really good trainers on here. Happy birthday and anniversary!

Make drawstring bags for your dice. Maybe stitch a monograph (one letter) of the first name and make it into a draw string bag. Hope that makes sense.

Nice to see you again Floz, the bunny project is beautiful, I’m sure your friend will love it. Re the health stuff, why not look up some Pilates first on UA-cam and see what you think.. I agree that making a change in lifestyle is more rewarding and inspiring than just trying to lose weight. I’m terribly unfit and a few stone overweight too, but not well do at the moment im doing nothing about it, just trying not to put any more weight on. Hope you get the hounds foot issue sorted, one of my hounds had sesamoiditis in a tiny toe bone and it caused a lot of discomfort, probably from his racing days also. It was treated by steroid injections into the tip of his toe every several months or so. I don’t game so that stuff makes no sense to me 😅 Looking forward to seeing you soon.. a stitch with me would be good too, in any format except music, as I don’t actually sit and watch but listen and of course have a bit of a look now and again. Happy birthday and anniversary! 🎉 I bought Cauldron of Mer from Unconventional XStitch, I'm planning on cropping it. Originally the stitch count was over 150,000 and I got it down to under 65,000 by picking a smaller rectangle of the design that I will actually stitch.

Hi, Floz, and happy birthday and anniversary! I remember from last year, or the year before, that your BD is the day after mine. (I'm only 46 years older than you!) I like your new idea about a stitch with me video. I mainly like the chat, and you could show what you are working on before and after. None of the 5 patterns is my style, but like the Herbalist one the most of the 5, but it's nice of you to want to support her, with the terrible loss.
