We are often asked why we call our end of year performance the Annual Concert. It is in part because our commitment to providing our students with the most professional experience possible means we approach things a little differently. Just like a professional company, we spend multiple days in the theater leading up to the actual shows, including time for blocking, building light cues, and of course running tech and dress rehearsals. We teach our students about being good theater citizens, both on and off stage. There are no faculty in the wings reminding dancers of the steps - by the time the curtain rises for the audience, our students are ready to shine all on their own.
