Yep, looks good . Did ya happen to measure the bore before and after to see how much it took to clean up ? Just curious. P.S. Richard is still sitting under the oak tree . Lol.
Hey Phil I did check when I got the motor to see if it was over 3.99 I will check again when I put the new pistons in
No, not boring. I watched the whole 9 + minutes.
I think I'll call my Chevy 350 , Richard. After the old guy that owed it before me. I got it from his widow.
F*** Yeah
I think I might have mentioned that mine too is a .030 over 4 bolt , 3890010 block. W/ a cast date '74. What year is that one ? Also, great song selection.
What's he doing ?
Cleaning up a block with a wire wheel
Yep, sounds healthy.
Hey Phil Yea it does sound nice
@@waynedavidson2691 👍
...and they look good.
He certainly cut the light. That was a good reaction time.
Hey Phil yes you should leave on the last full yellow light on the tree
Congrats , you're now a member of the 100mph club. Lol
That's what it's all about. Just having fun.
Hey Phil yes it is
Question ; can I put a one piece rear main seal in an engine that originally had a 2 piece ...?
Hey Phil the crankshaft end is different for the one piece vs the two piece
@@waynedavidson2691 Ok, thanks. I'n not going to change the crank, so, I'll just deal with what I have.
i have 2 sets of camel humps 461 and set 461x
Your " black engine" sounds like what I have going on with mine. Lots of idle hours and never changing the oil. Have you seen my videos on it ?
Yes seen your video no oil change I think makes a dirty motor
I have one of those.
Hey Phil 👋
@@waynedavidson2691 Hello Wayne , yes, my project is on hold for right now. I'd love to finish it off.
Nice 0010 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Thanks ✌
Looks great good luck with the build!!
Thanks 👍
That's the same with my 010 block w/4 bolts...just really dirty , otherwise still good.
Hey Phil how the moving going.yes clean everything up check your parts
@@waynedavidson2691 The sale of the property deal that I had with a guy fell through.but the property is still on the market, and now I do have a little more time to do some of the work that needs to get done. So, maybe I CAN get back on the small block.
Where's my 5/8 Socket?
Definitely not camel humps. They look like small port heads used on the 307 & 350.
Was watching ,and noticed my shifter moving after I dropped it in nutreal.! Had Wayne check it out .he found both rear trany mount bolts were loose.the power of video!!!
That block is just like mine.
Nice you have good taste
@@waynedavidson2691 No, just got lucky. I found it in a barn. It's a 3970010 block with 4 bolt main...I believe 1974.
I haven't been following on this engine, ( I think) Question; what are those heads , and are they screw in 3/8 studs ?
Hey Phil there are 882 casting number heads with pin stud's 3/8 for the rocker arm they do work well with low lift profile camshaft
@@waynedavidson2691 Ok, thanks. My small block is coming along slowly , so don't wait for a new video any time soon. Lol. I am thinking about finding a new pair of aluminum heads to replaced the 993's but that will depend mostly on cost.
Can i make 400 plus hp with these heads on a 3:55 With a comp cam 510?
Hey al you would only get at best 350 to maybe 360 with doing some port and bowl work would get you closer to your number maybe
17! Better get that new carb installed. 😂
Two words - send it!
A&W!!! Should have gone with you... :(
Yup
That looks awesome, great idea !
😂😂😂😂 good one 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
❤ LOL!
"Sorry honey, Gotta fix the car because the piston is knocking." 😂🍺🍺
It's looking good. Wayne.
Hey Phil your motor stand looks awesome
@@waynedavidson2691 Thanks Wayne . Yes, I started following you on that small block because I too have just stumbled across a small block that I want to turn into a great project. But mine has been put to the side so that I can make an engine stand for it...first. then I'll get back on the main project. Lol. I have a series of videos just on making the engine stand , including ; " How to weld in your Pajamas" And " How NOT to do any kind of welding at all " This is my attempt at a little humor, I hope you find them on my channel.
Now put the camera on the upset gorilla making it’s statement 😂
Bluetooth distributor 😅
wtf is an interceptor. Never Hearst word used in conjunction with a GM engine… ever.
Yeah it was a performance package
@@waynedavidson2691 no. GM never used the “interceptor” name. maybe you are thinking “invader”? GM offered pop up pistons in production engines. .460 lift isn’t much either. 300hp engines carried that much lift. Any supporting documents about this interceptor? Or just stories from the liars club ?
Hey mat yeah Ford used the word interceptor and Chevy LM1 was motor of choice for the mods of durability but was referred to as a police interceptor motor and didn't appear till 75 Thanks for the info a good point
Those exhaust ports do look bigger than what I have seen before. Are they ?
Hey Phil they are stock never been touched How is your engine stand coming
@@waynedavidson2691 We are in a pause. I have to make an engine stand but it's been raining cats and dogs. I just stepped in a poodle. Lol.
High output 305 heads
Bolt the carb down and it will run better.
😆
Это не рабочий двигун на нём даже нет проводов и свечей и карб не прикручен😅
ROD KNOCKER 😂😂
😎
Just wondering why you don't fill the lifters with oil before putting them in? I just fill them up with an oil can through the side hole - makes it easier to prime the engine. Nice burp by the way LOL
Thanks an I have tried prime lifters when I think of assembly just don't do it alot
Comp Cams: It is not necessary to "pre-pump" hydraulic lifters with engine oil prior to installation and valve adjustment. It is actually undesirable to do so, as the "pumped up" lifters will cause the valves to open during the adjustment process, rather than positioning the lifter plunger in its operating position as it is supposed to do.
@@user-ic1tq5uj7f Depends what type they are, mine are anti-pump up lifters that run zero lash, if I set them with 1/2 to 1 turn preload it won't run, so I need them full of oil to set them. Even normal ones don't seem to care, makes it easier to get to zero lash and then give them 1/2 a turn, they will bleed off by the time you get around to starting it. I have never had a problem doing it that way.
0:32 ❤❤❤
You are just moving right along with that thing. I'm ashamed of my self with my 350.
Hey buddy 🤗 this is another motor
@@waynedavidson2691 So, you've done 2 engines to my one ? Now I really feel lazy. Lol.
You can take the 305 cylinder heads and put them on the 307 SBC V8 engine
Very nice nicely done keep on “Truck’n”!!!… K-9 0Ut…
For all you brain surgeons that dont think changing your oil is necessary
Looks like 041 heads, 350 300 hp, those 041 heads are great street head
Lol! Love the earrings!!❤
