Hello Dan & Ashley! My name is Craig. I am also maintaining/restoring a 1951 Ford F1 pickup truck. I am thankful that you have documented and shared your efforts on "Pure Junk". In this video you mention about getting a factory radio with all the latest goodies. Did you get one, if so from where? Can you post information about it? Did you record the installation? My truck (I have not named it yet), has what I think is an original radio, but it does not work. Also it looks like your glove box is missing, mine is missing as well. Did you replace it? I believe the originals were cardboard and there seem to be replacement available on the internet. Any video on that? Thanks!

I vote for the gooseneck hauler. That's what I went with and the 4 link rear suspension + air bag setup means I'll have no problems keeping it level too.

Cool looking project you have there. It's almost the same as my 59 viking 50 LCF. Enjoy the jourey

My vote is for a car hauler, unless you already have a gooseneck trailer...I am building a 1950 Chevy COE with flat deck that will hydraulically tilt. Has 48 of rear overhang so the ramps will be short. Build what suits you guys! Looking forward to following your project!

If you wanted to just get the black through paint. Would you skip the brown?

Can I buy your old outside O/S door handle please - mine has just snapped - I'm in UK and can't find a regalement over here. I prefer used as my panel van is dripping in Patina - rust ! Thank you.

I recommend soft jaws for your bench vise - same process but no marring of your fittings 😁

Thank for the video, but I’m finding it to be impossible to get the clearance to remove the inside door handle with the window in the door.

Just did this on my 50 F1. BUT, I replaced everything from the Cowls, firewall, floorboard and rear bottom of cab. Now it looks like a brand new cab. Good luck with the project. I'm here because I am deciding on a firewall cover. So many different ones to choose from.

Hi. I have a 58 Chevy Apache. I ordered all new fenders and doors. Could I paint primer on the new fenders or would I need to do sanding ? I also doing the patina look

one of the best videos out there on patina, love the fact no air gun just primitive tools and elbow grease . nice job .

sometimes the mechanism inside the doors latch has the "slop" in it as well and needs repair. Great job with showing everything. I really enjoy your videos/repairs. I am glad you showed us the outside door handle flat head screw. its a lot simpler than i expected. The Key hole is also a lots simpler than i expected with its 3/32" allen screw holding it in. Now all i need is that baby blue paint code. 😁

Pure Junk is my fav. What engine and transmission are you guys running in it? i opted for a Bronco II fuel tank between the rails...not completely installed yet but its looking like it will work great. I am running the Explorer Mountineer 8.8 Rear end with 3.73 trac lok diff. Hopeing to get the tank in one day in the next two weeks. BFH

At 3:00, do yourself a favor a disconnect the brake line from the strut assembly. All it takes it removing one bolt and you prevent tearing the brake line or at the very least don't yank the line so rapidly.
