First few months clean from an era of addiction that left me torn and with nothing. 'Where ya been' hits hard given the last 5 years i was not myself.

Song is about him self as long as his pain is gone is most important.

There's more to this song than most know. I liked Luke a lot. He struggled and went thru some awful things when he'd disappear. Mostly by his own doing. As a fellow traditional musician and going thru similar struggles myself. Like also losing my dad at 21. So I can truly relate and know what feeling lost and going thru hell is like. Rest easy Luke.
