Veritas blow torch restoration project. This is old kerosene/paraffin blow torch. I got 4 very old different torches one has date 1945! so I couldn't resist to have some fun! There will be 3 videos more about torches.
Happy New Year Jedi ! Beautiful refurbishment my friend. Is this not a Delta DP220 as noted by the casting number on the head casting? I may have some spare parts for you! Can you reach out to my email ( or vice versa)? Best regards, Shawn
@FIGGY65 it could be. It was sold under many different brands. This one was Tauco. Thank you for offering spares, but I have plenty of spares for it. Cheers and happy new year!!!
@@jedisgarage4775 . I’m glad you have good original parts! Could I pay you to make me a copper drill press badge ( no painting needed) for a Canedy -Otto round logo? That’s the COOLEST work I’ve ever seen Sir !!!
@FIGGY65 hellschreiber@gmail.com please send me email.
@ . Thank you my Friend! I sure will!
@FIGGY65 I haven't received anything yet ;)

OMG kokie žmonės mano kanale :O
Ačiū!
Very nicely restored! I love the idea of inserting of sleeve on the worn shaft where the beating goes for the spindle! I have a Walker turner 900 drill press that is very clean but I want to make it much nicer
un bel lavoro, ma se fai un trapano bianco è per metterlo in un museo...
il bianco era il colore originale
Great job
Thanks:)
Nice restoration
Thank you!
ابعث لي قطعه ادفع ثمنها وشكرا
Very well done!
The patience of this man is level 💯
Where do you get those pins that hold the cage to the handle?? I’m about to attempt a restoration on one of these. I’ve seen a lot of other guys fabricate something, but they’re not like the original one you seem to use.
Hi, I reused all original parts :) If you need that pin that cage pivots on than I would suggest to look at mcmastercar.com or just make it from piece of required diameter round bar.
ok nm u cant put it together wrong im an idiot it was from his filing ! doy!
im not sure but did he put it together backwards look at the wear marks on the wrench rite before he gives his thumbs up or am i wrong ?
Really nice job!
Thank you!
Nice restoration! I’ve restored two so far and looking for more to do. I was interested to see how you made the leather piston seal. Now I know Thanks. Cheers.
Recently I did another one! I will upload video sometime next week.
Good
Thank you, much appreciated :)
I like tools USA lm from Vietnam
Welcome back!! Great job!!
Thank you so much!
Nice job, you have a talent !
Thank you!
Hey thats my Gramps wrench. Just smaller...
How did that come right off? I have two record stilsons. None of them comes apart like that. When it’s fully open, that’s it.
Strange... I have many stillies and all comes apart just like that. Maybe thread is damaged on yours? Or perhaps manufacturer put in some kind of end stop? Any pins what would stop it to go through the nut?
@@jedisgarage4775 that’s what a think. After posting the comment. I managed to take one apart. The teeth looks ok and the tread. The other one is stubborn. That I see of the teeth, it looks ok. That’s why I thought it didn’t come apart. Cheers anyway 👍
beautiful. Well done...i restored on too.....subscribed
Thanks mate! For a while I won't upload anything, but channel is not dead. Just very busy at the moment, but I will be back ;)

What is the lathe that is used ? Thanks
Hi, this is Myford ML7.
Nice work.Skól.
Thank you!
Did not realize the high heat that the torch can produce. Peace
I have been watching a lot of videos of kerosene torchs restoration and your video is the only one that shows what the torch can melt 👏, can you braze (with bronze rods) two pieces of steel?
Hi, no, i don't think it would braze anything thicker than few mm. It's fueled with kerosene so it's that hot.
What model is it as mine has missing label as i need parts Thanks Mike
I will have a look when I will be back in the workshop.
Thats good to go, i just came across that style wrench except its an 18, it was my Grandads.
Do the restoration on it and share with us ;)
@@jedisgarage4775 oh man you have set the bar too high.
@@thomthorne7306 Thanks mate! I didn't do much, just cleaned the rust..
Cool! You should get a new decal made... I have the same one- I’m inspired!
15:30: Good to see that the lighter is a little out of reach of the flame, otherwise maybe: fireball. Good work! Professional and fun! Thanks.
4:00: Best countdown and engine start, but unfortunately no liftoff! Or luckily no liftoff. Safety first. Great restoration!
hi there, great video! i have one of these from the 30s which i have taken apart and restored but i cannot get my head round the check valve at the bottom of the plunger, when i blow down the plunger tube, the check valve doesn't operate under the pressure of me blowing but does operate by hand? would this still work under the pressure of the plunger? with new leather of course
Hi, I am not sure, but replacing new leather is a good start :)
That was awesome! I'm going to buy a torch right now dang it. Found it on Craigslist and only 5 miles away! 🤣👍😍
Do a video on it mate!
Very Nice ! like very much bronze restorations.
Good work! Now it's ready for another lifetime of service.
🎈 hhhhhe kamu telaten
