GenAI is causing this lay off because earlier company used to ramp up workforce to increase revenue. Now due to GEN AI they have option to increase efficiency. Management is thinking that they can increase revenue profits even with lower people. It will stop once they are done with or if GENAI will fire back.

So all so called tech sector employees are just sitting ducks , first of all we are not worth for that hefty salary and now actually worth of each tech employee is shown.

In the busy period these employee layoff will also give them chance to say they are making profit being efficient so these again they get funds through investors or stock market share price rise

In the Boom period -These whole tech hiring is nothing but Employee harvesting for siphoning of funds either from Investors or from over priced stocks.
