SMART PLS4 Lecture 11: Understanding Formative Measures in SMART PLS4
In this eleventh lecture of our SMART PLS4 series, we delve into the world of formative measures, a crucial aspect of PLS path modeling in research methodology. Formative measures play a vital role in exploratory analysis, allowing researchers to uncover hidden variable relationships and develop predictive analytics models. Using SMART PLS4, we will demonstrate how to apply formative measures to evaluate hypothesis testing and model evaluation, ultimately enhancing the validity of our data analysis. This video is particularly useful for social science researchers, academics, and students looking to improve their skills in quantitative research, survey analysis, and structural equation modeling. By the end of this lecture, you will have a comprehensive understanding of formative measures and how to apply them to construct validity, measurement models, and statistical software.

Переглядів 22День тому
In this comprehensive tutorial on Necessary Condition Analysis (NCA) using SmartPLS 4, I introduces the concept and significance of NCA in research methodology. NCA is contrasted with traditional methods such as regression analysis, emphasizing its focus on identifying necessary conditions rather than sufficient ones. The tutorial draws heavily on recent scholarly work, particularly Richard’s p...

Who's here from yaba
Dey play
I'm here😊
sir why when i run the boostrap process, the result i get for the variables with more than 2 category (i.e. age) different category have different p value ( i.e 17-25 p=0.05, 25-35 p=0.4) not as age in general
In my research work I have 2 independent variable but more than 5 dependent variables than what I need to do
Hi sir, can you guide me the process in jamovi if we have multiple IV, DV, Mediating and Moderating Varibles in the model. Or should i go for SEM.
how did you measure negative affect? Which statements did you use from the dataset?
can you please give me the tutorial for more than two group categorical moderator, please :(?
What if AVE is above 0.5 but Cronbach alpha is below 0.7 what to do?
I am unable to drag moderator aero in the middle of path in smart pls3, however, i tried my best to do so, and used moderator button, kindly guide
I am using smart pls 3, but unable to connect aero to aero, i am using to add moderator using smart pls 3
what are endogenous variables?
Jitna bhi thank bolu utna km hai
Thank you so much ........
thank you for the video! what if our control variable is in interval or ratio data? for example, our control variable is familiarity to AI measured in Likert scale 1-7?
Greetings sir incase we have moderator and mediator in my model control variable will be assessed with only ultimate dependent variable or moderator and mediator as well?
both options can be adopted majority studies does this with main dependent variable but it is recommended that you do with any variable that is dependent in the model
@@FacilitatorFarhan ok thank you
Brother, if there are two dependent variables, then how can we run regression?
run two regressions seperately
Than how to make interpretation? If possible make video on it
zero knowledge about spss 😪😪
Great work, thanks for sharing your valuable lessons.
Hi Sir, thankyou for your explanation in the video. But I still have question, how to choose the significance level and minimum path coefficient? Do we just assume?
@Dr farham sir i have 3 iv s and one dv and i have moderator i.e Age whose effect i show on full structural model sir my question is for age i have 5 categories how can i categorise it in spss and in smartpls do i performa mga or interaction effect Thank you
Sir my reliability analysis is coming less than 0.7 and some of the all items is correlate negatively. Can u please help or guide me
excellent presentation, you solved my problem thanks alot. please provide the full references of the sources you cited in your tutorial. i will be indebted to you.

learn the basics, and then start working. there are no shortcuts. Key is exposure, learning and practically doing it.
very good explanation ,awesome and excellent explanation to write research paper, thank you sir
Thanks, this video is really helpful. In different references, it's discouraged to use dummy variables for PLS-SEM model construction. Is there any statistical limitation or comparative drawback using dummy/binary variables in PLS-SEM modelling?
www.emerald.com/insight/content/doi/10.1108/IMDS-09-2015-0382/full/html in this paper you will find details of why it is important to make dummy variables. Sometimes we have categorical predictors in our framework as well. Although the general practice is to make IVs and DVs as continuous variables while testing for control/demographic variables before we test the strucural model. In that case binary/dummy variables are useful .
you can use dummy variable function in spss
Sir agar chat gpt sy stuff ko quilbot sy rephrase kar k turnitin py check kary to tab b Ai detect ho ga?? PlZz sir reply must😢
I think not, but if do rephrasing on your own it would be better, not much rephrasing would be required
If you could share data set in description. It will be eassy to follow your series for smart pls 4.
I will share it with the next video
