I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to share my story and humbly ask for your assistance during a time of great need. Years ago, Hurricane Florence devastated North Carolina, leaving a path of destruction in its wake. My home was severely impacted, with two large trees falling on it. While I was fortunate to receive some initial aid from the state, the struggle to maintain and repair my home has been an ongoing battle. I am a 44-year-old man living with a 60-plus-year-old disabled roommate. Together, we have done everything in our power to keep our trailer livable, but our efforts are no longer enough. Our home is deteriorating rapidly, and we are in dire need of help. The roof has been compromised, making it difficult to regulate the temperature and increasing our energy bills significantly. Our air conditioner has been broken since the hurricane, adding to our discomfort and hardship. We replaced the front door, but the back door remains broken and inaccessible. Fighting off mold and trying to replace damaged parts of our home has become an overwhelming and costly challenge. As our trailer continues to age under these harsh conditions, we are facing growing health concerns. Life has become increasingly difficult and expensive, and we are reaching a breaking point. We desperately need help to make our home safe and livable again. Any assistance, whether financial support, resources, or expertise, would make a tremendous difference in our lives. It is with a heavy heart that I share our story, but it is time to ask for help. We are struggling and cannot continue on this path alone. From what i am understanding based on case history research the program is a failure if not farce.

Congrats to the Best family! I don't want to sound like a Debbie downer but, unfortunately; we originally requested the buy out but was approved for a new mobile home. We are currently on step 6 for a new home and it has been close to 5 years. Still waiting.. I know there are many who are in the same boat. Hoping we are able to move on to the remains steps. I am truly disappointed at how this program is being handled.

This is BS. I have been out of my house since the beginning of COVID and this program has committed fraud on my house! Two months repair now and 40 months and not complete!

I'm still waiting. Going on 4 years now. What's changed? NOTHING.

My grandmother was promised a Modular home and these people have completely lied to us and told us that we would receive a singlewide instead do not trust these people they will sit up and try to bait and switch you in a heartbeat

I am one of the victims that’s been waiting over five years and I still haven’t heard anything !!! My family and I have been at a home for over five years !!!!! Where is the governor of North Carolina when all this is happening he only shows up when it’s time for elections !!!!

This is a very beautiful home!!!!! Thank God for NCORR and NC Rebuild 🙌🏽 I have been waiting for my new home for almost 3 years now but when I see and hear these testimonies I know it will be well worth the wait.

My home was flooded when Matthew Storm hit my home was flooded two months after my Husband died and I was told about N.C Rebuild and I'm still waiting for help . THE RIVER GOT REALLY HIGH GOT IN MY HOME . I FILLED OUT APPLICATION . I HOPE THAT THEY WILL HELP ME SOON .. LOST MY MOM AND MY SISTER AND A GREAT FRIEND ALL IN SAME YEAR . Ive been flooded out in last 2 hurricanes im in a flood zone but nobody has helped me ive called an done everything possible..and i have no were to go i breathe in mold every day an im slowly dying .. the ones that gets money to help people like me, they pack the money in there pocket
