I just watched this video because there is a glimpse of a F40. As a serious fun driver (F458) myself I would say that there is ample room for improvement by it the camera or the driving.

Mad respect to the guys who raced these in the 70s. Theres no roll cage or any safety hardly which is just nuts!
I am surprised to see the driver use the clutch on the track, gears are dog cut straight, changeable, like in the Hewland.
You can be as much of a race car as you want to be, but the wooden shift knob is a must-have 😂🎉

One of my favorite drivers of my childhood and into my adult years. The only coverage of endurance racing in the US was Sebring, Daytona and LeMans. Waited for weekly and monthly racing magazines for news. Derek, Jackie Ickx … what wonderful memories. And the box with a computer probably had less computing power than the phone in our pocket.
Considering this man’s achievements he still seems humble and down to earth .
Hes too modest to say it, but the 917..at 10-10ths was sheer- fear inducing experience...
Thankfully Mr Bell survived those high speeds.
Don't like the vertical stabilizers on the rear.
I miss watching those cars race always loved that style and the sound.

Wow. Just wow! What an incredible noise! I was at Goodwood Festival of Speed and heard one start up and that was an experience, but to hear it on the road? Nice 🙂
This just proves how absolutely amazing the c4 Calloway Corvette Sledgehammer' was/is. 253mph. I am 72 years old and an avid racing fan. The 917 has always and will always be my favorite

Too bad about the camera placement, but yeah... He's got all the good stuff... CSP, Pure, ReShade, and the most realistic NeckFX I've ever seen. 🤣
Where all of these right hand drive?
Where or why - Why are they all right hand drive - because of Le Man, the track has a pit on the right - the driver was less likely to get mauled by a passing race car both in the pits and during the original starts that required the driver to run across the track and climb into the car
Please affix a GoPro to the front of the helmet where your mouth is, the recoding will show what you see. It's a process, but that is the magic combo and looks even better than the BS F1 "driver's eye."

Never place the camera on top of the helmet.. But this car is absolutely legendary!
The best racing car of all the times ! She won it all. The sporting authorities changed the regulations because it outrageously dominated the competition in all its versions, both endurance and Can-Am with the 917/10 and 917/30.

The dulcet tones of a Chevrolet! The good ole' Chevy flat 6. They brought it to the masses in 1960, after two very small prototype builds by an English and an American manufacturer (Wilson-Pilcher, and Tucker). Porsche would later adopt Chevy's flat 6 design for the 911 in 63' (Pilcher & Tuckers were quite literally flat 4's, with two more cylinders welded on), and the rest is history. Thanks Chevrolet! Sounds amazing! Wonder why they dropped it. It never made it any further than the Chevy Corsair.
