Straightening a Motorcycle Triple Clamp
Переглядів 41 тис.4 роки тому
How to use metal pipe and a tow bar to straighten a bent triple clamp from a motorcycle Donor bike - 1981 Yamaha RD250LC
Perfect old timer trick
My 83 V45 Interceptor would've beat that like a rented mule. Slowest turbo from the 80s.
let me just get my magna 750cc out there and ill set a new record... I've been past 135 mph no problem.
I bought 4 of these brand new and rode 2 of them cross country. They topped out at about 123 mph; speed was estimated using due to the idiocy of the 85 mph US speedometer.
I have an XJ650 Seca that my buddy gave me. It's a project bike that I can't wait to get running.
It's a cool bike, not fast by modern standards, but super fun once you get on boost First thing to check is the turbo oil feed line valve and the turbine for play
@@danteinouye6098 Mine isn't a turbo but it will still be fun. I plan on doing a Scrambler build with it. I oive in the country so it will be great for our beat up country roads.
Excellent procedure
tis but a little bend
top speed 218 dy poiice cames cost afuu bob the turbo modifibs
Thx man God bless you , you hilp me 😊
🔴 AWESOME THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO 🙋♂️👍👍
Maaf , tidak presisi dan tidak akurat , tks .
If the bottom has bend triple clamp, what are the symptoms the suspension provides
great thinking, especial "it's cast, you cannot rely on this surface"
Nice job guys! I'm running mine (82 650 turbo yammy) at 22PSI with a boost controller but the gearing limit top end!
Well first plug the vacuum line to the wastegate.close that wastewater real tite. Now your runnin like 12 lbs of boost vs 4.and only the poppoff relief in the intake manifold.oh yeah and hold on a tad more.
My bro, why do you have only <150 subscribers? Please post more videos! You're gold.
A Yamaha and at the same time Monty Python fan? That is very reassuring! LOL! PS: Good work!
Just saw your XJ turbo record setting video and came to this one. Thanks for posting. I have a VMX 1200 purchased from auction and the front end feels bent. I'll be trying this great technique. I saw 1633 in the background, I had a couple of these. I'd be interested in the speed for the LC? Does the T shirt have the Judean's People's Front on the rear?
Awesome tone.
Oh my god..realy helful trick👍
rode with a guy in the Air Force who had one of these. turbo burned out long before he bought it and missing most of the lower fairing parts. had fun riding it but never pushed it more than about 85mph
Can anyone help here. If the T is bend is there any chance that while riding the handle bar feels tilted to right side even your going straight. Thank you
Amazing! Thank you.
How can I contact you? My local shops are not as skilled
I reaĺy appreciate this video ,after my adventure bike landed in a ditch while i was doing fishies well it was very bent. Cheers mate!!!
This is excellent. Thanks for taking the time to put this together, I'll be trying the same soon.
Great vid ty
Thank you for this video....I wish more people would post more practical fixes like this....good job 👍
Magic! Works great!
Thanks brother from India, but the real solution is only use new one
and when the bike is vintage and no parts available?
@@tortron then it is obvious to repair the part
Can the upper clamp be bent/twisted also? If so how do I check that? Thanks for this video!
The upper clamp do not disturb the alignment of the bike
Thanks a lot for the video..now, i have diy solution for my t fork
Nice.
Thank you! You are gold.
Thank you so much!!!
Thank you .
Awsome trick thanks :)
Genius!
K1W1 can do attitude
If you don't have a tow bar I'm going to try a pipe connected with exhaust clamps underneath my car ramps drive my car up a bit and put the clamp in the tube to straighten
Well done
Thanks dude. Im gonna save some money because of your idea.
