I recently read a book called Electric Arc To The Past, a time travel novel based in the 1970’s in and around Rotherham and the Templeborough Electric Melting Shop. It was fascinating to see the actual melting shop that was so vividly described in the book. Thanks for posting this amazing bit of history. 👍

Now that's how a layout should sound.... Got to have the clickety-clack over the points and the joins in the track... That class 31 takes me back to my childhood, that's the locomotive my Dad bought me as a Christmas present.... It was a Triang train set called The Freight master if I remember correctly, with a mixed freight and an oval loop of track... Thank you for posting a wonderful video and it would be lovely to see your class 31 going around your marvelous garden layout soon... With the most kindest regards from Nige.

Second time round on the second run was more like, even the tone of the motor is just like the real thing and the speed had me thinking we are on the real thing. going along clickity clack, clickity clack. I think you should have sound effects in your loco, they are big enough so you should be able fix up something. Third run now, did we come out different? oh don't forget your PA system; DING DONG will passengers get ready at platform two, the Train for Blackpool south will arrive in 3 mins. Well I've got to say I enjoyed travelling with Train around Deepdale, hope to join you again soon ✔✔😃😃

I think that I must be odd as I love watching trains crossing over points and the more points the better! Why!! I have absolutely no idea why & the one part of your layout I love the most is the section at the far end of the shed where the trains enter what looks like a complicated section of hand built points! So now you know I’ll disappear before I do thank you for taking the time to build, film, edit & upload great videos 🛠️

I like this. Another great video as always buddy. Not sure why that Class 60 is wheezing but I wonder if a wee drop of oil on the worm gear bearings in the drive towers would cure it? I am thinking of doing my Garden railway as a dead rail radio control layout as then I won't have to worry too much about dirty tracks etc. I will be making plans when I move to the US.
