I drove the M151A2 1978-82 and they were trash. They had two issues: 1) worn out steering and 2) tear suspension easily broke UJoints.
I know her I love her she is awesome I’m glad can call her my sister by choice
American logistics is scary cause in WW2 in the pacific the Americans had entire ice cream barges war ships dedicated to shipping ice cream and this would help in 2 ways one it would boost morale for the Americans and two for the Japanese soldiers who would’ve gone weeks without rations having to fight to the last man to die for their country when your enemy has a big ass boat just for ice cream is severely demoralizing which is why we will still tactically deploy burger kings to war zones
There was a made for TV movie in 1970 called 'Sole survivor' that was Loosely based on this story... However it was still very sad and somewhat chilling, as it might resemble what happens, and what those endured who have never been found alive after aircraft crashing in the oceans, or in isolated places, shipwrecks, Stranded/lost motorists, Stranded lost hikers, etc... I Did see a documentary on this incident and it was very sad... If they only had a working radio transmitter of some type, but when this happens , Sensitive equipment like that will usually be the first thing to fail. Most aircraft and ships now have transmitters called ELT's that send out powerful distress signals... But if the ELT goes underwater there is slim to no chance of it surviving...Today is: 10/18/24
A seat from the Lady was returned to the USA and reused on another aircraft. That second aircraft crashed off of the East Coast. The only thing recovered was that seat, confirmed by a data plate. It is on display at the Air Force Museum.
Wonderful program!
What do you mean by “full time” military branches? What were the part time branches?

Spare a thought for the TWO MILLION DEAD VIETNAMESE who died in this clash of ideologies .
I was the colonels driver so in the winter we slept in his bell hotel because it had an excellent heater 😊
It's like a museum of the playoffs to LBJ
My great grandfather worked for bell for around 30 years. I’ve always wondered what kinda cool stuff he worked on.
Not only that but due to the heuy being nimble, and very manueverable along with i think having the shortest take off and landing landing speeds record for any helicopter. It's still used all around the world today!
Heroes.
Good luck finding good honorable MEN like him today!
I do enjoy his old movies. "To hell and back" is terrific.
Since her death in 1979, the woman who discovered what the universe is made of has not so much as received a memorial plaque. Her newspaper obituaries do not mention her greatest discovery. […] Every high school student knows that Isaac Newton discovered gravity, that Charles Darwin discovered evolution, and that Albert Einstein discovered the relativity of time. But when it comes to the compostion of our universe, the textbooks simply say that the most abundant atom in the universe is hydrogen. And no one ever wonders how we know.” - Jeremy Knowles, discusses the complete lack of recognition Cecilia Payne gets, even today, for her revolutionary discovery. (via alliterate) OH WAIT LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT CECILIA PAYNE. Cecilia Payne’s mother refusd to spend money on her college education, so she won a scholarship to Cambridge. Cecilia Payne completed her studies, but Cambridge wouldn’t give her a degree because at that time there was not much exposure for women, so she said to heck with that and moved to the United States to work at Harvard. Cecilia Payne was the first person ever to earn a Ph.D. in astronomy from Radcliffe College, with what Otto Strauve called “the most brilliant Ph.D. thesis ever written in astronomy.” Not only did Cecilia Payne discover what the universe is made of, she also discovered what the sun is made of (Henry Norris Russell, a fellow astronomr, is usually given credit for discovering that the sun’s composition is different from the Earth’s, but he came to his conclusions four years later than Payne-after telling her not to publish). Cecilia Payne is the reason we know basically anything about variable stars (stars whose brightness as seen from earth fluctuates). Literally every other study on variable stars is based on her work. Cecilia Payne was the first woman to be promoted to full professor from within Harvard, and is often credited with breaking the glass ceiling for women in the Harvard science department and in astronomy, as well as inspiring entire generatons of women to take up science. Cecilia Payne is awesome and everyone should know her.
Americans are only familiar with the places they were involved in fighting Nazi Germany and the Empire of Japan. In fact, many Americans couldn't name the other countries that were involved in fighting Japan or where they served.
Attu , Alaska ! Did you forget ?
No mention of the Aleutian campaign?
Sadly we are kept so far in the dark. Something our elite masters learned from the nazis 😂
So we are going to ignore the oversight of the fact that the Enola Gay indeed did not drop both atomic bombs, Bockscar had dropped the bomb Fat Man on Nagasaki
He needs a mowing sponsor
Absolutely wonderful story. ❤ RIP Stephen ❤
How is this still not a movie? Where is Tyler Perry
Came across this video while trying to find a video on Kar98 stock repair and I learned that my Kar98 is duffel cut
As an Army soldier I was taught to never surrender. So you get promoted by surrendering? Disgraceful.
Many America secret wars around the globe we don't know about.
In the Navy, when anyone gets 100% on a test, an investigation will be carried out. That was like that even in the 80's. It had nothing to do with race or ethnicity! The Navy strives to keep those scores and qualifications as pure as possible!
God bless you🇺🇲👍🙏a warrior, with honor, I respect you with all my heart! I'm a "Army bratt" my Daddy in Army 25 yrs, WW 11, and Korea. You all are my first priority ❣️our brave soldiers👍🇺🇲🇺🇲💖

Useless war after useless war. All for the pockets of the rich and elites.
u got that brother, its a culture
You have to respect intelligence, regardless of gender. She sounds like an amazing woman.
Who gives a fuck.
Thats what happens when the enemy acts like they are just farmers by day and guerillas at night. Eventually the soldiers start to think everyone is the enemy. And honestly who can blame them for that? After enough of your friends get cut down you are gonna start to see things alot different then the rest of us.
