Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary - Brisbane

Really cool day spent at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane, Australia. I think this was the largest koala sanctuary in the world. There must have been close to 100 to see. This clip was taken north of Cairns on Captain Cook Highway (between Palm Cove and Port Douglas). I was on the way to the Daintree National Park. Pretty much as good as it gets in terms of oceanfront driving. Monkeys scare me, so this was a bit of a nightmare (I've been bitten before). Still kind of interesting and if you want a monkey climbing on your back, this is the place to come. This is the main Rice Field Walk in Ubud, Bali. If you look on Google Maps, this walk is on a road called Jolan Subak Sok Wayah. It's just north of Ubud, but well within walking distance of town. This area is next to the Campuhan Ridge Walk, but can be tricky to find, so ask for directions if you get lost. Walking this road is a great way to spend a half day in Ubud. 2-2-2 seat configuration of business class for long haul flight? Are you kidding me? 🤔🤔🤔
its kind of a 2-2-2 and also kind of isn't. Everyone has their own pod and isle access, so it really functions more like a 1-2-1. I've flown on other 1-2-1 business class configurations including Cathay Pacific's A350, ANA, Thai, and Air Canada and I'll tell you that JAL's product didn't disappoint at all. The seat and pod was definitely smaller and a little more claustrophobic, but the service and food made up for it.

yea food was good, but I wouldn't call it excellent. Service/Food has definitely been better on some of the Asian airlines I've been on like Cathay, JAL, Thai, and ANA.

Great video! My father flew JAL's DC-10 service to NRT from DFW, via LAX, back in the '80s. So glad to see JAL's return to DFW, but DAMN, the flight you were on looked like a $$$ loser for the airline. :( Would love to see JAL's load factor stats on KDFW-RJAA.
yea most of the business class flights i've been on have at most been half full. I don't know how airlines make money of that class, especially when a lot of people there use points like me
How many hours did it take for your to paddle from El Nido Town to Cadlao?
i made it there by lunch time, so about 3 hours. It's a long way and I was fine going out, but then the winds switched in the afternoon and I had a tough time making it back. I wouldn't recommend this unless you've got some experience on a SUP.

I can't remember if I got pajamas. I want to say yes, but I'm not sure. I used AA miles as well. It was a good use for 60,000 points at the time.
