World's First Magnetic Powered Crossbow (Prototype)
In this video I show off the world's first magnetic crossbow. Technically it is also the most powerful solid state magnetic powered crossbow but that is only because it is the only one ever made. This concept has a lot of potential because if the magnets are replaced with electromagnets you can achieve high speed with theoretically 0 net draw weight.

First off shout out to my favorite UA-cam channel the slingshot Channel. I finally put together my giant pvc crossbow, the build took some planning and a lot of testing to make sure I didn't get hurt. OK it's actually 280ish 😂 but if you see my other vids it's chronographing right now at 140fps. If you time the flight in the video it's about 2 seconds, 2x140=280 🤔
@@archery.customs I'm really not trying to knock you dude that is pretty cool and I know cameras can play tricks but there's no way that even looks close to even 90 yards to me (270ft) and with so much video editing on your math with feet per second and all that is not going to help ,I'm really not concerned about it, I just randomly came across it. But if you use the same camera and the same supposed amount of feet, if i were you I would sit up a stationary camera with some type of yard tape measurement tool showing you walking it out to prove that's how far you're shooting .
@@archery.customs I wasn't stating either that you were editing I was saying in general with UA-cam in today's world, and I'm having a brain fart at the moment but whatever those tools are with the wheels that are digital whenever they are serving or doing football fields I would use one of those because I can't be the only person that's going to say that to you.

Brother i think thats just a ballista
So it's still a crossbow because a ballista uses torsion and limbs that don't flex at all and a crossbow is straight up limb powered
Try utilizing the fiberglass Road markers stack and tape them together or just insert as many as you can into the PVC pipe
You need a protection goggle……
Maybe you should surround the pvc tube with something softer than wood or more flexible were it's attached to the wood, that problem there is the difference of rigidity and the small point of contact with something so rigid, or make it progressively rigid like putting more and more pvc pipes around the center like sleeves making it progressively shorter and stacked the more close to the wood Good video
🤔 using a cushion definitely makes since, but I have tried additional tubes to stabilize it and that's what broke it last time 😂

Yes both of the last 2 arrows had kitchen knifes. Instead of wasting time making new arrows I just taped a knife to it 😂

We call them ballista's!
Technically it's still a crossbow because ballista limbs don't flex they use a torsion propelled limb, but they both throw things really fast lol.
You have to watch the temperature outside with PVC it gets hard and brittle or soft when he gets very warm
I'm aware it was cold that day but it broke because my dumb self put a center piece inside the limb that didn't need to be there.

Not fully yet because my field is not very big. At half draw it easily goes 300 ft tho.

Hi I also had a tiktok channel, mainly I uploaded short videos of crossbow shooting that were cut from my UA-cam videos.
