Bbbarfly has openers because it’s there gimmick and it’s ment for beer bottles

It's definitely heavy but I don't think the knife is necessarily made for tricks, I think it's made for its original purpose which was to skin fish back in the Philippines I believe. So in other words I think it's made for utility and fighting as it's called lucha which means fight in Spanish. It's my first balisong so learning to do tricks has been especially difficult however I do use it at work a lot.

My 2nd move was Y2K and I have learnt only 4

If anybody wonders about speed of basic open: it's same as opening switchblade, my pal checked it with times on his knives, there's no difference between balisong, switchblade and spring-assisted knife. BTW tip for people training with sharp one if you really have to; if you don't know side just slowely imitate movement of knife during trick first to check most probably moments of blade touching your hand and start trick in such position you'll get hit with dull side. That's whet I do and it workd well enough for me to not need medical help
