I honestly think its kinda poetic how MT has this extremely negative rep and people jump to the worst possible conclusions, when the narrative in and of itself is a critique of that tendency - of boxing people into stereotypes based off their past actions, as if they are incapable of changing. This episode plays off the stereotypes of Paul and rudy, who both assume the worst in each other, refusing to listen or even acknowledge the others struggles in good faith. Its reminiscent of most of the discourse around this series (praise and critique alike). Hell, even the bikini armour lady is a subversion of the typical fanservice armour trope as she dons the armour for the sake of her sister(the black robe girl) who is afraid of the male gaze because of the abuse she suffered before paul rescued them from bandits. Shes not another fanservice character, nor is she part of pauls harem, shes a warrior in her own right. This kinda nuance gets lost when translating the source naterial into anime format, which is why its so frustrating to defend MT. Like the other commenter said, i think the work will speak for itself and it'll become more obvious why the author made certain controversial decisions at the start of the story when the themes become more pronounced and established later on

Ever since finishing the main light novel series ive become less defensive of the series, im not saying that i agree with any haters but its just better to let the show/book show off why its got such a large and dedicated fan base. Ps glad to see you continuing the MT journey.

I believe demonfolk don't have last names like humans do (even among humans commoners don't have last names iirc). Instead their "last name" is just their tribe name. Thus Ruijerd Superdia, of the Superd tribe, and Roxy Migurdia, of the Migurd tribe. There are more examples of this later as well.
