Here's a list of my camera equipment:
Canon EOS M50 - a mirrorless camera. Cheap and compact. Good for both video and photography.
Canon EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 - an all-in-one zoom lens. Good for taking a wide range of shots, from landscapes to close-ups.
Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II - a wide-angle lens. Best for landscape photography and low light situations. An adapter is needed to use it with the M50.
Viltrox EF-EOS M2 - a lens adapter that allows me to use EF lenses on my M50. It has 0.71x focal reducer, which helps with the crop factor on the m50 in 4k mode, giving a wider view. It also acts as a speed booster, which means that the lens can let in more light.
Rollei C5i - a lightweight tripod for taking long exposure shots and filming.

    I'd say Finland is fairly corrupt and soviet-like but you don't notice that until you get deeper into how the country works. On the surface, things still work - but the structure is rotten and nobody wants to chance, because so many are receiving "the loot" one way or another. There are thousands and thousands of random "NGOs" who are leeching off from tax euros and nobody knows where the money really goes. High government officials like to form companies on their turf which, surprise surprise, get beneficial decisions and have government as the only client. Only people who have seen massive pay rises are public sector workers and it's size has been growing like cancer but nothing works any better, healthcare system is on crisis while costs are going through the roof. Highest officials in the corrupt justice system formed a public attack after Finland tried to close the border to Russia as Putin did his hybrid attack via pushing violent illegal immigrants. Speaking of which, rapists aren't punished too bad and those crimes are always white-washed by the woke agenda which is also carried by all the radicalized far-left legacy media - Twitter was fine before Elon brought freedom of speech. Now X is Satan itself, according to "them". Our Christian beliefs and Christian Democrat politicians are under constant attack, Christmas plays are labeled as "harmful" in schools but traditions of Islam are celebrated and painted in the media as something that is better. Our public broadcasting TV organization just started serving the news in Somalian and Arabic, as they won't assimilate to our country but we are assimilated to the customs of the "visitors". Change is probably coming, so yeah. It's not all bad 😉

    And if one talks of introversion, he should know the meaning of the word. Introverts also may love to talk. But they talk for a different reason: to create real meaningful relationships or because they have something to say. Extraverts talk because they love to talk. Period. Also, introverts reload their batteries BEING ALONE. I need to be alone, it revives me, it gives me energy and the purpose to my life. Communication makes me tired. I may enjoy it but it makes me tired. Extraverts reload their batteries by communicating and being social. So, the exact opposite

  • @HelenGolovina-y9h
    @HelenGolovina-y9h 6 днів тому

    If Russians and Ukrainians go to another country, they learn the local language. If they move to Estonia, they just continue speaking Russian, expecting everyone to speak Russian to them. Why is that? Why this difference in attitude about should you learn the local language or not. Do you think introversion is a bad thing? Is it? I am an introvert and very proud of it. I am annoyed by extraverts

    • @lifebyolia
      @lifebyolia 4 дні тому

      I think the reason for this might lie in the past. Russian language was ‘promoted’ (forced) by the USSR and it became a language commonly shared between all the countries occupied by the USSR. So some people might assume it’s still widely understood in those countries. Personally, I do not support this. It always annoys me when people assume I speak Russian because I’m from Ukraine. While I can understand this language, I’ve never spoken it myself. It is sad that you’re facing this in Estonia. It is wrong. “You don’t go to someone else's home with your own rules”. I hope it will change and people will forget about this soviet narrative. As for your question about introversion, I don’t think it’s bad at all. I am an introvert too and I’m happy to be one. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that it can be one of my strengths. I love to be alone and to do my quiet hobbies. I also love to communicate, but I feel more comfortable in smaller, more personal conversations rather than large gatherings.

    The biggest difference between Ukrainians, Finns and Russians is that the big majority in Finland and Ukraine would never accept to have "a wise leader" to rule over us for life, enabling(forcing to be exact) the people to be subordinates to the ruler and his friends. Having freedom and democracy is more important than material things. Also look at the Taiwanese. A war with China would not end well for Taiwan but they have made it clear that they would simply not be subjugate but fight for their society. All of this is indicative of a high maturity democracy.

    You come from Europe which means you are used to cold weather. Then you moved to Finland which is probably 5 degrees colder than Ukraine. The States has half it's territory or quite a lot of territory further south. I live in Ga in the South East. We grew up with it rarely having any kind of accumulation of snow that lasted more than a couple of days and some years not even that. 3 or 4 degrees below zero is normally registered a couple times a year . I did live in Toronto for fives years, Canada. I was looking at Helsinki and I believe I determined it was 1000 miles north of Toronto which is about 1000 miles north of Atlanta Ga. All that to say that it's my opinion that criminals don't think of going to Finland to live so much and this helps for the functionality and safe feel that I have heard exists in Finland. Though I see lots of video channels with 3rd worlders talking about how great Finland is, I suspect that the refugee crisis did not hit Finland like much of Europe and the US. I think it does help when almost all within a culture have similar ways of living which causes less conflict You mentioned WWIII. What I am fairly certain of is that the international Deep State has had plans to weaken Nationalism and strengthen internationalism. I personally don't like people that represent me not considering my and US people's needs ahead of some international project the rich guys want to push. As far as I can tell Finland politicians are onboard with much of the Deep State agenda but does seem to be governing the home folks efficiently. Again I think the Northern Climate probably helps to keep things simple and therefore easier to please both constituents, national and international. One bad thing about progress as conceived by the leaders, they always have to promote expansion for expansion's sake. I moved out of the city to get away from that as well as lower my cost of living. As far as the kid stuff goes. I stumbled into raising a kid as a single parent and because my childhood wasn't that great, I looked forward to having the family thru raising her that I had always wanted myself. Obviously it's a long time project. Now that she has moved out and gone on her own, I have very good things to say about it as well as some cautionaries. Initially, it turned me into a better person. I ended up scaling my work back to assure that I wouldn't look back and say to myself that it was sad I wasn't around more. As time has gone on, and she left for college, she abruptly moved out and now she's living on the other side of the country. I see her once, maybe twice a year. Our chemistry was never perfect and many things I imagined would exist between me and her, has turned out not to be the case. So I would say results for me were "mixed" and many illusions i had about how things would go had little substance in reality. I will say the first ten years were quite good. You continue doing a great job and I always look forwarded to seeing what you are up to. PS - my dad was born in Croatia but sadly, he divorced my mom when I was 5 under trying circumstances which meant his side of the family I did not grow up around and I have never even been to Europe not to mention Croatia. I assume my grandma went to America cause of all the communist revolutions occurring in that area and I believe all country boundaries were drawn up by WWI winners so likely that had a lot to do with her moving to America in around 1925 as well. I have heard a lot of good things about Croatia which your video only accents more and I can only imagine why they left. The family lore went that my grandfather went first and no one heard from him after that and she, my grandmother, went to look for him. Didn't find him, married somebody for security sake and had my three year old dad in toe while the two older brothers all came over a good bit later I did become acquainted with all of them, my father's family, for they helped me, as a draft dodger, since they lived on the US side of the Canadian border, get legalized in Canada, at the crossing station cause dodging the draft was illegal and I was therefore a wanted criminal in 1970. They were always good for a pit stop on my youthful travels between Toronto Canada and Atlanta, GA. over the next five years. I would usually show up quite broke and the "power of blood" had them treating me quite wonderfully every time I came around. Why my parents broke apart is a story unto itself and finding out as a young adult, what I fine family they all were made it sad to think about what might have been........ chow!

      Love to you and thank you for sharing your story and thoughts! ❤🫶 We enjoy and appriciate this peaceful country and society we have here up north! The weather is not always, what we would prefer it to be..😂 Just right at this moment it is the dullest time and greyest days of the year. But on the the other hand we truly have learned here in Finland to treasure all this safety and peace we have. 🇫🇮🤗 We know it did not come easy for us and that is why we truly appriciate all the earlier generations, who made all this possible for us to enjoy! ❤🕯🇫🇮🙏 And we also have learned to recognize easily even the tiniest things that give us delight and make us feel happy about our life in Finland! I admire my fellow Finns who also notice, that the sun showed itself for us today for 1,5 hours and made with clouds so beautiful pink stripes on the sky, when the sun was going down! 🌅🧡❤️

      @@Luontohaahuilija Thankyou sooo much for reading my long comment! Finland is my dreamland but I am 75 and not enough in the bank to make the transition at this stage. You know, what got me in love with the far north? A book few people know about. I picked it up in paperback for, like, a quarter in 1973, in Toronto during my draft dodger banishment days. It was called "Burning Daylight" by Jack London. His whole catalogue is easily found, available for free, in PDF form. You know, "Call of the Wild", "Sea wolf", "Martin Eden", that sort of thing. Again, thanks for the lovely comment and enjoy your good luck!

    Amazing storytelling skills, not sure if you had a script or you improvised on the "Why Finland" part, but it did feel like a good story. You never gave away the answer until probably half way, after I was already hooked. Love to see this! You are also brave, yes! This 40 minutes duration is not really algorithm friendly :))

    Why i moved and i ll move away fron Finland: Money

    • @Luontohaahuilija
      @Luontohaahuilija 14 днів тому

      You have your needs, we totally understand that many people don't have the luxury of choosing a simpler life over income, or as you say money. 🙏 Many people have to support their family back in their homeland - and they truly need all the extra income, what they can get. I am anyway so happy, that Finnish people as a nation has passed already that terrible poverty (Finland and Finnish people were still after WWII long time VERY POOR) . And happily it feels nowadays, that we have passed already also the next period, when we were able to earn money and it felt for some time, that only if you had a great working place or career and made a nice salary, the society approved you as a succesful individual.. Resent years more and more Finnish people have realized, that it is enough, if you get along with the money you earn..and don't wear yourself out by just working long hours to make lots of money. We give a lot more value nowadays not for beautiful houses or expensive cars, but for free time, that you can use for enjoying your LIFE = loved ones and nature! ❤🤗

      Sorry for that.😑 But, NEVER give up! 💪 Keep up the sparkle and spirit! 🎉 That is what the people in Ukraine and Finland are truly made of, we push through a rock, if needed! We never surrender and give up to hardship. It will bring you also success, you find a different route, if that first one does not work.. That is SISU! ❤🇫🇮🥰

      🧡🤗 In Finland especially families with children as well as kindergartens and schools have started to celebrate also Halloween, but actually straight after that on last Saturday we spent a more traditional Pyhäinpäivä, Day of the Holy, when we in Finland visit graves of our loved ones and remember them by lighting a candle. 🕯❤ Eventhough Finnish people are not nowadays very religious, we keep up this tradition of remembering all those, who have been here dear to us and now passed away. ❤

      You Olia truly are such a beautiful soul, that I don't wonder, that you have friends all over the world! ❤🌿❤️🤗 I wish you and your husband, as well as for both of your families and friends back in Ukraine many peaceful moments with happiness and love! 😘🇺🇦❤🇫🇮 We Finnish people, who have family or e.g. work related connection to all that, what war causes to families, communities, to peoples mental and physical health, understand totally your nations need for a stable and peaceful enviroment, where the serene moments with your loved ones and peaceful moments in nature are worth so much more than anything else! 🌿🐦🦢🐿🍁🫶 Nature with its' small wonders is such a treasure for me, too! Now, eventhough it is the dullest time of the year, I get happy about just watching a beautiful trunk of a tree or a rare ray of sunlight visiting the skies. Lets hope soon (again) for freezing temperatures and snow! ❤❄️🫶

    And one more question: your previous job was in IT industry - if I understood it right. Didn't you have a temptation to come back to work in tech industry but on Finnish condition? Work life balance, no such a big preassure, better salary? Or is it just an ilusion and Finnish way of life doesn't refer to IT?

    Hey Olia! I enjoy your videos very much! ❤. I have question for Q&A: how do you find the Finish food? Is there a choice of good quality food for vegetarians? I am used to home made, healthy food 🙂. Is a wideo range of ingrediens to buy? Do Finns eat outside or rather cook themself?

    I've to say it depends where in Finland you're. If you go to east of Finland, where a lot of Karelians are very social then the rest of the country. They wanted to know who are you as a person, where you from and wanna know more about your culture. As a Karelian, I've been called as a "culture man" many times.

    • @lifebyolia
      @lifebyolia 27 днів тому

      That’s really nice! I love when people ask about my culture, and I really enjoy learning about others’ cultures too. I haven’t been to eastern Finland yet, but I’d really love to visit someday. I’ve mentioned to some of my Finnish friends that I’ve noticed people my age here in Helsinki often don’t even say hello to neighbors, even if they see each other often. It’s strange to me that some don’t even respond when I say hi. My friends told me that it’s just "a Helsinki thing.” It would be really interesting to go to the east and see the differences.
