X-Alps 2023 was a great adventure! I am so grateful for taking part in this amazing race. Thank you for following me in this journey, and a huge thanks to my team, Antoine, David, René, Mario, and Samuel. But I also want to thank you to CampVan GmbH.
During the race it was crucial to have a reliable, self-sufficient camping vehicle, perfectly adapted for paragliding, which on the other hand is also flexible enough to get to some remote places in the alps. Therefore me and my team had the honor to test and finally use the camper from CampVan GmbH.

FAR OUT!!!!!!! Totally incredible, what an adventure! Now I can see why sailing across the Atlantic in your 18ft boat was no big deal lol. Absolutely amazing, well done, and you showed very good judgement towards the end when you realized that things were getting just too risky. That's what good aviators do, we always calculate the risks and have a back door out, and when things start closing in, we get out without shame, and live to fly another day. All the best, cheers!

What is the setup they use for communication?
Hi, We use BLE BoneConduction Headphones from Shokz connceted with a mobile phone. It s easy to answer and make calls during flight with these for urgent matters. Otherwise there s an app called Zello which works like a radio with a PTT button.

Der normale pro steht hinten am Hals etwas ab. Mit Buff, Halstuch, Helm find ich da den Mini besser, da nichts drückt.

Der erste Start am Morgen war ja eher tricky…. 😳
Ja mit so einer Ablösung hab ich so früh nicht gerechnet^^ Man muss allerdings sagen, dass vorher gut der NW drüber geblasen hat, d.h. es war ein sehr thermisches Lee von ca15-20kmh NW. Erklärt vlt die Bedingungen etwas
