Joe Alaskey in "1958: A Retrospeculation" - a show he starred in and wrote. Recorded live at the Steve Allen Theater on May 12, 2006.
Joe Alaskey is one of my favorite Looney Tunes VAs behind the legendary Mel Blanc imo. It’s a shame he’s no longer with us…
Joe was a truly exceptional talent. He was the best, a genuine genius at his craft.
Add a comment... His legacy will always remain with us through his projects which included: - The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries - Tiny Toon Adventures - Tweety’s High-Flying Adventure - Rugrats (Seasons six through nine) - Looney Tunes: Back In Action -Duck Dodgers (The Series) - Bah Humduck - Tom & Jerry & The Wizard Of Oz/Return To Oz - Forrest Gump via Paramount Pictures - Rugrats Films - Roger Rabbit via Disney (among others)
So glad to see him recognized for such amazing talent. Sweet and Humble. A one of a kind guy - and sadly missed.
Joe's voices are a true beacon of humor in todays f--ked up world. I'm so glad to see the recent postings of his great work.....Joe's Eddie Haskell is priceless, I have to buy more depends.
Joseph Francis Alaskey III (April 17, 1952 - February 3, 2016)
Joe would have made an EXCELLENT "JOHN CANDY" Tribute 😁👍
What's even more sad is that Joe Alaskey was not honored in the Emmys 2016 In Memoriam.
I was smiling ear-to-ear watching this. So glad Joe got recognized for his amazing talent!
I discovered his incredible voice only this year! It hurts to realize that such a gifted person is no longer with us Thank you for the video
This came out when he passed away
Gone too soon rip Mr Alaskey thanks for the laughs. Your work lives on.
Why Joe Alaskey died atthe same age Robin Williams was! Is it true that Joe Alaskey never indulged into drugs and alcohol, like the way Robin Williams did? I just didn't say to you that I, still liked the 'Tiny Toons' much better. They didn't stereotype the Mexicans, like the way the Warner Brothers Looney Tunes did. The FCC could've removed Speedy Gonzalez, from 'Space Jam 2 a New Legacy.' There was an old 1950s; animated black and white TV commercial, that did so. It was a classic TV commercial that advertised Freeto's corn chips. I just didn't mention this to Simon Cowell; since I portrayed Simon Cowell as Fred the Mexican bandit, for the Batman movie TV series reenactment. I've done so back then in 2008; and I really wanted David Letterman, to find out about this. It was originally the Batman TV series casting director William P. D'Angelo and the costume designer Rudi Gernreich, who have criminal stereotyped the Mexicans back then in 1967. 🍸 🤔 😳 😕 😐 😅 🍸
You obviously didn't see the Sylvester abd Tweety Mysteries episode about Russia, now that's what I call stereotype :) it looks sooo cringe
@@polinavader486 It's about when you get the public spectacles, who die too early. Take a look at Mila Mangold; she was a former Santa Cruz CA. resident who died, when she was 114 years old. What made her live that long? What was her occupation/career? Can I also tell you about the Florida State Senator Claude Pepper? About the old timer: he might have never once thought about, going into retirement. Did he live long as well? 👓 😏 😉
Joe Alaskey Rest in Peace 1952 - 2016
Jim Henson and Walt Disney meet Joe Alaskey.
Thank you joe alaskey for keeping the looney tunes alive.😭
Kinda low on the ole audio...
Say, Joe? Say hi to Mel for us. Alright?
0:45 What film was that one from?
Nate Hausmann Lucky Stiff
I don’t know
Kinda tragic how this video was uploaded just about _two days_ before his death.
Wonderful talent. Really amazingly entertaining.
Joe Alaskey has great acting on Duck Dodgers: Season 1. He's better doing Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester and Marvin the Martian than other people doing because it doesn't sound the same at all.
I think Jeff Bergman is good as Bugs Daffy and Sylvester too alonside Joe Alaskey.
@@jwelch5742 That’s a pretty good impression, or “those” are good. It’s pretty impressive, but I dont think it’s as good as and I prefer Jeff Bergman and Joe Alaskey.
@@frostboy1263 Frank Gorshin did Daffy Duck in Superior Duck.
@@jwelch5742 Okay?

I love his voice on murder comes to town! Then to find out he's been around pretty much my whole life!
You were awesome Joe. Thanks for the laughs.
rip joe alaskey take care of don messick.
daniel ferstendig as well Mel Blanc
Don't forget June Foray, Janet Waldo, John Stephenson, Tino Insana, Alan Young, and more.
I sincerely hope you are making them laugh in Heaven, Joe. One of the best impressionists ever to walk The Earth. Thanks, bud.
Joe always wanted to do a Lord Buckley tribute. During a visit he lamented having lost his cherished LP of Lord Buckley monologues. I replied , " You didn't lose it, you left it with me when you moved out of NYC and didnt want lug your box of albums around." The look on his face when I handed it to him was like a kid at Christmas ...priceless. Golden memories .
One of my heroes. His voice, and physical acting had such texture and presence. I had hoped to be able to meet him one day. A few friends of mine worked with him when he was doing the voice work for "Murder Comes to Town" and I used to always do impressions of him to them. It was very sad when he was gone, but from what I've been told, he knew it coming on even up to the end. He told a producer friend of mine that it may be the last reading he did, and he was unfortunately right. I regret never getting to meet him and let him know how much his work inspired me as a child and inspires me as an adult.
Joe Alaskey won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program for playing Duck Dodgers in Duck Dodgers: Season 1.
