Hello and Welcome to Bent Wrench Garage. I’m a true automobile enthusiast, I love them all. I can’t afford most of my desired dream cars, parts or repairs, So I fix others car and trucks for a living right beside my supportive and amazing wife, Not to mention the greatest friends in the world. I am Master ASE certified and have about 40 year experience. My best friend is simply a genius. Together we love bringing these cars back to life. I have a small assortment of eighties junk. My projects seem to all acquire an assortment of different and unique personalities. We spent more time trying to find this cabin air filter than it took to actually replace it. We have a Mitchell program. We tried to find information on forms, we tried images and even videos. So for those who are in need here is a video to help you out. There are a thousand videos on glove box removal. This is a short to help you beyond that. I thought this was super helpful. I lost that darn t15 screw.... any idea what size that was like a small M4 maybe? Appreciate you having this video out there... saved me a ton of time. Not super necessary to get the glove box out .. but excellent for your video.
Most incoherent thing I've ever watched
OK , here's what's not explained, the arrow or air flow points towards the back of the vehicle. As for the glove box, there are two 7 mm screws on the top inside and two 10mm on the bottom outside, then just pull it out, disconnect the light wire. oh yes and pop off the plate on the right side in the door jam (no fasteners) The kick plate on the bottom is held on with 3 "christmas tree" type fasteners just pull those off. after all is removed it is still a PITA to cram the new one in there. crappy design. wish I had pictures but the description should help.
Did anyone find out which way the arrows go?
How do you remove the glovebox?
Which way is the arrow on the filter supposed to face? Going towards the hood of the car?
Not too helpful.
Just so you know, this is the hardest thing to change ever! POS...fucking Lincoln engineers can suck it!
