I wondered why no one stole you! Because the way they edited the performance order for TV, there was still at least one steal left. So sad that all of the steals had actually been taken by the time you and Serenity performed, but I'm glad you were on the show and I was able to be introduced to you. I've been on Spotify listening to all of your music and it's gorgeous! Sink in particular has been stuck in my head for days. New fan here for sure! 💜

I learned from watching Seinfeld how to be left alone ( mostly ) and look busy. The tip is to look frustrated. Not with an attitude and not with an air of confusion but look slightly frustrated. I've done this, and it actually works. Edit: I've worked in catty environments also. A way to help avoid drama is to act shy. Smile, look down sometimes, and just act a little shy ( but be a superstar at your job ). I was rarely dragged into drama by doing this. They didn't expect me to talk a lot therefore they didn't approach me with gossip. I overheard but managed to stay away from conversing in it. Talk to them about other things, though, so you're not their next target or see you as stuck up. Edit 2: Last one I swear. Do not ask to go to the bathroom. Say directly "I have to use the restroom." If you ask, it frees them to say no. And if they still say no, be polite but direct "I have to use the restroom right now." Usually they won't ask questions. Be nice but firm. This can also depend on your manager so it may or may not work for you, but it has for me. I would even start walking in the direction of the restroom. Same thing with water. "I'm going to get a sip of water real quick." Don't ask. I've worked in retail sales, office settings and cosmetology for a long time. I've dealt with some 💩.

Your voice is so beautiful and I really relate to the subject matter. I watched a video recently about every time you get anxiety, if you tell yourself you are ‘excited’ instead, it tricks your brain to read the physical symptoms into a more positive one. I’ve found it helps a little. Beautiful song

I resonate with alot of what you said .. I just quit my store as a client services lead on this past Friday .. they hired a store director who didn’t wear makeup , skincare or know anything about said products . She was an absolute nightmare .. I walked in with almost 14 years of being self taught & almost 6 years at M.A.C & I made it clear .. I wasn’t cocky about it but I’m proud of my makeup background & I feel like that put a huge target on my back because Sephora doesn’t require makeup experience .. which it should ! Sorry but if you don’t know anything about makeup or want to be a beauty advisor .. you’re probably not going to last .. unless you had a store director like mine & she brought over a whole crew to hire from dollarama 😂 🤦🏻‍♀️
