Eleglide M1 plus, how to change brake pads.
A quick video showing you how I change the brake pads on the Eleglide M1 plus electric bike, this is just a rough how to, (I am by no means a professional at this, always seek the advice of an expert)

Off out for a bike ride, haven't got out too much lately, and as we have some more nice weather come in, I thought it would be rude not too.

What is the range of battery just on throttle ?
Where did you get the pads from ? Cheers. They're normally copied from a well known Shimano model etc I think
Hello The screen is locked how to unlock the screen.
hey bro i live in france and i paid to eleglide site through chrome for m1 plus 2months ago and i never got the bike where should i can buy it from its original address i love this bike but i dont want to be fool again🥺🥺
It’s easy to imagine witches brewing their concoctions within those old cottages in Bideford. Those poor ladies were probably just spinsters or widows down on their luck though. I love the slightly spooky atmosphere of Bideford.
👍👍
👍👍
very instructive, all you need to know. Thanks a lot
Lived her 1985 to 1990 should never have left…
Dude... you need to look at the accepted dates for the last ice age.... the last was c.12000 years ago (10,000BC) not 180000 years ago. The petrified forest is visible about every 70 years or so and will be a lot older that 6000 years...
That should have been Torrington Road...
Hi my name is Rob, and I am a professional archaeologist and historian who has grown up in Bideford. I studied at University of Exeter and UCL Institute of archaeology. Much of my research is focused around Bideford and Torridge District and North Devon in general. I would just like to point out that the name Bideford DOES NOT mean 'by the ford' - the original form of the name is found in an ancient Charter of AD 1172 (before the Domesday Survey) and is as follows: BRIDAFORDES - the name is wholly Saxon. The word '-fordes' does indeed mean 'ford'. The prefix of 'Brida-' is a name, probably that of St. Bridget. The late Peter Christie (RIP) thought that it may simply be a Saxon personal name, however, I pointed out that following Saxon linguistic rules that would have made the word BRIDAFORDA not BRIDAFORDES if that was the case. The ford may have been called Bridget's Ford prior to the Norman Conquest, and especially important for celtic missionaries etc at the time. This may also point to the possible naming of a Nunnery that once stood on the west bank of the Torridge, the remnants of which are still visible, the ancient Saxon name for the River Torridge was 'TORIC' and is also found in two very early charters of around AD 729. This may be the first time that you will have heard of the things that I am telling you, with the possible exception of the Nunnery as this is my own unpublished research, and I had to translate from the latin and Saxon myself , something that no other historian has dared to do for the area. With regard to the Romans... at present there is no hard reliable archaeological or documentary evidence to suggest the presence of Roman military at Bideford. We are just beginning to identify Romanitas in the archaeological record, that is the education of the Iron Age population to become Romano-British. There are a few sites around in North Devon but none identifiable along the River Torridge as yet... I am of the opinion that the Roman's would not have ignored the Taw and Torridge and that sites will come to light in the future. I would be very grateful if you could reference me in any communications or writing where you may mention the Nunnery or the etymology of the name Bideford as this is a requirement for accepted academic discourse. I am really pleased that someone is taking an interest in the history of Bideford... there is a lot more to the story than has been published. Also you may be interested that there is a disappeared village name Bybury on the Torridge Road... I researched this for my BA.
I'm going to be doing similar terrain in the New Forest, so good to see it can be used as a bike even if the electrics play up. Hopefully I can take more things along with me to play with like cameras and cooking stoves etc
Nice short film Don
Great footage, we came over from Australia for a holiday last year and spent around a week in Devon and we stayed in Bideford. Beautiful township, was really surprised how nice a town it was! Will come back in the future
Great Advice changed my front brakes yesterday, i bought 2 sets on Amazon just look for the ones that are of similar size.
Awesome video. Loved going there on holiday as a child in the 90's. The memories of crabbing, on the beach, arcades.. my favourite rock pool was 30foot out from the right side of the pool.Hope to take my family there soon.
Thanks very much for the very informative Video! We used to go to Ho! between 89 and 90. There we often went to two pubs, The Anchor and The Black Ketch. Recently we went back to Ho! but couldn‘t get any information about where they were… maybe somebody here knows?
Thank you. I loved the short time I lived at East the Water with a great view of the bridge.
3 punctures in a ride is pretty mental its kinda put me off it as i dont wanna be buying new tyres for it
had it for 1 month and i’ve had 1 puncture
How easy is is it to remove the back wheel that's an issue ? or buy another set of tires and keep these ones for road use
I love westward ho!
thank you so much, this video helped me so much with a project <3_
its so pretty
Cheers for this mate. You make it as simple as it actually is. Almost all the other vids make out that you MUST remove the wheel to do this but removing the back wheel on a hub motor ebike is a pain in the proverbial. I've new pads to install when I get home this evening, feeling much happier now about the job. Thank you.
excellent video thank you
Great video. Bideford has a terrific atmosphere and the folks are very warm and friendly. The historic C19th cottages are really beautiful too. I hope the town keeps its charm forever.
good video well done
I need to do the same in my eleglide m1 plus too, but i dont know what type of pad fits in my brake calipers can you send me the link please
Thanks for this video never changed pads before 👍
Good video but would haven been great if you told us what kind of brake pads are needed.
depends on the brake system.......the Eleglide M1 seems to use "old" shimano style pads (that's how my local stockist described them). How I found the right ones for my bike - I checked the eleglide website for spares then looked up similar ones. The locking pin position is an easy way to identify them apparently - each standard has it in a different spot so you kind of can't install the wrong ones. At least that's how my local guy explained it to me.
Is it these ? Shimano XTR M975 XT M775 SLX M665 Deore M535 MTB Disc Brakes.
I would like to replace the caliper, do you know any compatible part pls?
Take a bite of me
U got them taers
Hi ! Can you share where you got the mudguards? Thanks !
Great video
Hello, I am an international student in England. I am thinking of buying this bike. I have added very hard money. Tell me the truth, is this bike good or not?
Did you watch the flipping video???? 🙄
@@typhoontim125when people ask this…it isn’t because they didn’t watch the video they commented under. They are hoping that after a period of time, they would have noticed if problems developed. This would aid in their decision making. If I don’t have money at all, I wouldn’t want to spend money on something that would develop issues in 3 months
@@oche_official That's fair enough 👍
@@typhoontim125 thank you for understanding too!! 👍🙌
@@oche_official You're very welcome 👍
Thanks for sharing this mine are getting close to needing changing 👍
No problem 👍
I was quite impressed when I helped put one together the other month. Only thing its missing really is a quick release for the front wheel, it would make it easier to put it in a car.
Yeah, that would have been a good idea to have quick release, luckily for me I rarely need to take the front wheel off, so not really a big deal for me personally.
God I love watching this man bounce around the stage in this now iconic style. He’s currently legendary.

Can you please send the link to buy this from amazon?
Hello there ,just come across your channel, in the 70's we used to come to a hi de hi type of holiday centre which stood high on the hill overlooking westward ho! Just wondered if you had any info on it, I think it closed late 70's, had some wonderful times there loved it ,any photos or info would appreciated.
Hmmm, not sure about that one, I know their is a place up there now that does self catering holiday cottages, but that used to be a stud farm years back.
Hi. Where did you buy the new brake pads?
I bought them on Amazon, but you can probably find them from many other places, including the eleglide website.
Best band out there rn. Unbelievably good
Should be illegal
First went there in 1963 and marveled at the large beach very reminicent of many in California which ive spent many great times on.Rog.
Yeah, it has an amazing beach, especially when the tide is out and it's quiet, and you can walk the length of it.
