I have a question. In case of working on a book with 5 parts which needs to have continuous footnotes from part 1 to part 5... how to make it? It starts numbering footnotes from 1 at each part. Thank you for this part 15:45 - How to Remove Manual Returns Automatically with GREP. I have applied what you shared and removed manual returns (multiple breaks) The author of the book I'm working on uses multiple breaks with a space between them. May I ask how to find "break + space + break"?

Hello Kayla. I tried to upload an ebook in PDF in Comic format but it didn't seem to be accepted by KDP. How to prepare it in Kindle Create properly before uploading it? I previously tried Print Replica but it said Book Cannot Be Downloaded. The book does not have links and is not a comic book.

Becky, I feel like you and I are old friends. I rewatch your videos all the time. Apparently, it all does not stick in my brain indefinitely. I love the "split" trick! I want to add all the tricks into the print version so that I have minimal work for the kindle version. What happens if you do not have room to move the line down to add the needed spaces for the style? For example, the page needs to begin at the top. I know this is not an issue in Kindle but it is for the print version.

hi Kayla, I have used InDesign to format my ebook (Epub) and each Epub chapter is formatted correctly. I checked them through Kindle Previewer 3 and they show correctly. However, when exporting the entire book to Epub, all the paragraph styles are wiped out, including images (except for image achored). I only have paragraph styles to be bold & centered, regular & centered, and Chapter header name. There is no overwrites in the entire book (already checked). Do you have any suggestion? Thank you

Great in depth video. I noticed on Comic you can view the book with facing pages (like a real book) but in Print Replica you can not?? So for a children's storybook with say pictures on one side and text on the other Print Replica would not work??

This is a great video on actions and nice of you to share, but when you want to save multiple file types wouldn't it be easier to utilize export for screens panel and save a preset with all of the file types you want?

When I put the option "put 2 lines together" in the body style, it can happens that the even page has, for example, 40 lines, and the odd page only 39. How can I fix it to avoid this gap in the last line? Shouldn't we have exactly the same lines of text in both pages?

Another great video Kayla! I love GREP stuff and do a bit of it myself. Here's a little extra help with this particular issue. Do a GREP that puts the search parameters into parentheses so they can be replaced in the Change to: field. Here's the code I tested: Find what: (^\w+)([^,]+?)$ -This looks for any line that is missing a comma like your code. Change to: $1,$2 - then this adds a comma in the missing space If searching for the missing period after the middle initial you don't need the parentheses: Find what: ^\w+[^.]+?$ Change to: $0. Of course, this solution will have problems with last names that are two words, like "de Lamour" or "Von Rickenbacher", etc. However, these might be searched for in a separate Find command.
