You've got to watch the actual very last episode and Terry Kath starts to sing and that montage starts to play. Ive never forgotten it. Someone put it up in its entirety. Want a ride to the airport in my stolen car. Hahahaa
The "Freefall" episode also ends when Sonny asks Rico , " Hey Tubbs have you ever considered a career in Southern law enforcement ? " Tubbs response, " Maybe, maybe. They laugh as Crockett gives Tubbs a lift to the airport. " Freefall" season 5, episode 17.
The last scene that actually aired originally was slightly different and included a little bit of all of the main characters.
The best thing to do is watch this finale for yourself. To me, it's one of the Best farewell segments for a TV Show. Ranks right up there with "M*A*S*H, Goodbye, Farewell and Amen" and "Little House: The Last Farewell "
