1:18 - us again! You captured us in your Horning Video (Part 1) a day later. This one we were passing through Acle on our way towards Thurne Dyke having left Loddon early that morning and crossed Breydon Water to head back up on the Northern Broads. It was a wet, cold and windy crossing and we still had the waterproofs on because despite the sun starting to come out at this point the wind was still decidedly chilly!

15:40 - that's me and Mrs B aboard Whisper Emblem heading through Horning towards Salhouse for the last night of this year's broads adventure.

Some beauties in there and really nice that so many took the time to acknowledge you and chat 11:34 took me back to primary school getting out school dinners delivered from Middleton in one of those.

I love the idea that peace with the Russians was simply so unthinkable (despite massive nuclear arsenals and a less than enthusiastic desire to use them) that the smartest political minds in Britain couldn't understand how it was possible without a secret space program. Their evidence? Nothing. But they "aren't in the business of speculation"... something the political genius being interviewed did throughout the entire conversation. The utterly ludicrous leaps of logic are hilarious.

To be fair I would just have let you know that I was removing the comment myself anyway, as I know nothing about the incident and have no context to place it in or indeed any comment from the other parties about the incident to add balance. I understand that some people believe this to be true rather than an April fools prank as it was originally intended. The biggest giveaway, apart from the bad acting, is that many of the people in it were familiar faces on TV at that time.

The date [month and day] of the programme's making [rather than its broadcast], should have been a clue.

Extraordinary. We were more credulous in those days, so I can only imagine the disquiet this caused. But as ever, there’s a huge gobbet of truth in the speculation. I discovered the book long before the DVD, and was disturbed by its prescience, particularly its deeper treatment of problems caused by global warming. Yes, there’s a problem, but I take a balanced view and don't drink the Kool-Aid of the prevailing narrative. What strikes me most about this chilliing production is this - A3 has proved to be more prophetic than we could have ever expected.

I love how this stirs debate.. Yeah ok they are ators... yeah ok it came out on April 1st(nobody has confirmed this btw) However nobody really digs deep into the question of why? Why was this made at all? The topics this mockumentary are ahead of its time(or behind ours but still) consider what 1977 was like..these were not worldly topics..what was the motivation? Disinformation? Nobody ever asks that. There is too many "fringe" topics touched, if only slightly in this video that were almost nonexistent topics in 1977. We still had skylab in 1977. So why the topic of the moon not being what it is... The biological channel was still understood as the biological channel in 1977. Think about this... They all say it was a hoax, ok, why did you do it to begin with? Otherwise this is all an example of real time RETCONNING.
