It is an "overhead" filter system. Water is suck up the black pipe you see in the background on the left, flows through the filters on top then drip down onto the water surface like rain...

Wow I love this tank! And tetras are great choice I have a school of them as well, but I have no plants, should I buy the potted aquarium plants or something else?

thanks =) It is a 20 gallon tank. I have an overhead filter that constantly drips water down at the top (see the bubbles at the top?) I change 1 third of the tank every 2 weeks.

Thanks, I didn't use special lighting.. what I have is a timer power socket that will turn on the lights automatically for 4 hours a day.

Nope, the plants I placed are hardy ones.

These are normal neon tetra... It is a 2 ft by 1.5 ft by 1 ft tank.
