Campaign for Wool
United Kingdom
Приєднався 7 лис 2018
The Campaign for Wool is a global endeavour initiated by its patron, HM King Charles III, in order to raise awareness amongst consumers about the unique, natural, renewable and biodegradable benefits offered by the fibre wool. #ChooseWool
Shaun the Sheep Loves Wool
Wool’s many natural benefits and performance attributes in wool flooring are being highlighted to consumers as Shaun the Sheep returns as ‘ambaaa-ssador’ to the Campaign for Wool and British Wool, marking the start of a special 3-year consumer awareness campaign.
Just over ten years ago, the first collaboration between Aardman and the Campaign for Wool culminated in a Guinness Book of World Records for the number of wool pom-poms created worldwide. Ten years later, the relationship has been reignited alongside British Wool on this important education project that draws special attention to the plethora of wool’s natural performance benefits alongside the safety aspects of wool flooring, and wool’s inherent ability to repel stains and clean easily without the need for harsh chemicals.
Promoting his messages of 'Shaun Loves Wool' and ‘The Perfect Carpet for Ewe’, this world-renowned, loveable sheep brings together the core values of the character's creators, Aardman and the studio’s Shaun the Sheep of 'One Farm’ initiative.

Clarence House - Wool Really Does Biodegrade!
Avowed jazz head here. Please tell me the name of the background music in your video! Liked the video as well.
Gostaria muito de ter a oportunidade aprender e atuar em um ateliê assim.❤
Watching this make every stitch of clothing i own feel less than off the rack. Which it is.
Molly has instagram??
I am going to use your method of drawing the pattern piece out on the fabric before you cut. Thanks for sharing.
You should be proud of the work you do - it is remarkable! That said, there is nothing sustainable or particularly noble about making one outfit for one member of the 1%. Be proud, but be realistic.
Awesome knitting ❤❤❤
Savile Row tailoring is the antithesis of fast fashion. Where quality matters and clothes last a lifetime. Awesome! 😊
Such a creative job, and there's nothing like a well fitted garmet that you can take pride in. Alsoa job that acually requires people!!
Also, may I ask what is done with the remnants of the fabric after it has been cut out?? Does it just get tossed away?
Out of curiosity, how does one get into the tailoring trade? are there apprenticeships available and what is the upper age limit for this profession??thank you!
I loved seeing the bit where the ladies were gathered in their beautiful outfits.
You've been there for 25 yrs. and you're the new kid on the block. .......Beautiful clothes are life changing.......
Thank you for sharing your expertise, your awesome professional results, Molly! (thumbs up to Richard too!).
J'aime beaucoup le style de Molly Anderson, très chic.
She is so beautiful and chic.
Molly... I love your style. Thanks for the tip about flannel.
The joy of tailoring. Thank you for your insight.
Nice video ❤
Glad you liked it
A waste of time. A fellow blabbing about tailoring as if it were some kind of mystic experience. Give me a break! 😄😄😄
I take it you yourself are not an artisan ? Never witnessed your own skillset develop from 0 to 100? Passion to complex a topic for you to grasp?
Good 👍🏼 🎉
Fantastic!
Sustainability….yawn…..overused word, in all contexts. Boring.
A ten year old overcoat??? Is that all? Try a 28 year old overcoat…from Terry Haste; who started life at Nutters……forgive me, I’m being ironic….I’m 69; he’s but a child still…😂
A safe space???? Mental health journeys???? Really? I’m glad Terry Haste doesn’t do that stuff. I’ll stick with K, H and L on Sackville St.
Did we watch the same video? Neither mental health nor safe spaces were mentioned?
I love my Harris Tweed overcoat!
A job that thankfully won't be replaced by AI soon
Yeahh
You’re a talented lady like your dad. Well done🌹 .
Hey now! Sew cool! 😎🪡🧵❤👔👞
Just another nepo baby who would never get there if it weren't for her posh daddy...

Super cool woman. And lovely ❤

Patrick mentions wool from overseas, but I'm wondering how much wool from the millions of UK sheep is used?
I’ve read “Less”. A lot of the history I already knew (I’m a history teacher), but the social and economic interpretation was fascinating. I’ve always knitted, but most available yarn these days is acrylic in 100g balls and wool is expensive to buy. So I started knitting FairIsle patterns with Shetland wool. They come in 25g balls, so little waste and what is left over, can be used up in smaller garments such as hats and gloves. Plus it takes me a long time! I looked to buy T Shirts from Community Clothing, but was disappointed to find they all came with ‘badges’. Other organic outlets want to make political eco statements on their garments. I just want to buy ethical, plain, neutral clothes I can wear with anything. 🙏
I’ve just started listening to Patrick Grant’s book, ‘Less’, and it’s really crystallising in my mind what I already have been thinking… less = more happiness, quality is everything, and buy British.
Vs? the made it same for pillows for situations they know better than themselves To make Wool into a bull Regards prank call cow tornado 😂
The High Majesty King Charles the Third will never patronize us. He's already too compromised, as all his Royal Family.
Well, not sure he's still around....noticed different masks
Yikes. No one was weaving ... The Coast Salish, Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian are relatively new to me. Some of the inspiration that I feel from these people are their weavings. I tried weaving on a ridgid heddle loom in my past, and I am still into fabric arts (specifically kumihimo). These people share my interest in wood carving, too. Whole tribes with a rich history of textiles and carving and stories! As a San Diegan, I, too, have a connection to the water. I wanted to be an oceanographer when I was little. I, too, have a connection to animal spirits - although I'm catholic, I still feel the spiritual connection.
Love this!
This gladdens my heart to see! ❤
Proud to be members of The Campaign for Wool and The British Wool Association
Isn't that SO cool they can weave by bike!!! Genius!
lol
Thanks for these videos. I just love wool.
yes. not too bad. But let's get real .... isn't there something quite hypocritical about the monarch speaking about ecology .... burring wool in his rose garden to proof sustainability ...? Getting in touch with colonialism in a deeply human way is a chunk of what ecology must be about and this maximum - privileged geeser is talking as if he never in his life was in trouble (cause he was not). Folks - the future grows from the past so we need something deeper than that. And yes, wool and sheep and good, intelligent farming .... more of that. Much more. ( I am a farmer) But we ain't gonna get it unless we start thinking about the mythologies that underlie western modern culture and thinking .... which brings us back to the monarch talking about circularish ways of living. What the fuck ?
Stunning Video - captures the people place and product of Harris Tweed and the farm to fleece narrative
Love wool. I am surprised by how many people will use oil to dress in every day, when there is such a fine, renewable source for clothing.
I love these videos.
Thanks for this video. I have played this for my students.
