Thanks for taking the time to try and improve the sound quality. Unfortunately this is one of those that need the raw sound to the recording. A great track however this is too 'clean' and lacks the raw punch behind the untouched recording

I am a personal friend of Pat Carty, who sang lead on this song which put Long Island on the map in the world of soul! Though you will hear many different accounts of who was in the group, in reality, Magic Touch featured Pat Carty as lead vocalist, Johnette Fitzgerald-Alexander (deceased) singing the opening intro, Flornia Fitzgerald-Williams and Ruthie Fitzgerald singing background vocals. They are from Hempstead and Freeport, Long Island, New York but only recorded this one song. On the live version, Marilyn Wright (also deceased) leads, and on the subsequent singles ("A Woman Will Do Wrong" backed by "Dear Mother" and "Let Me Go To The Disco"), the lead vocal is done by Jolanda Ayers-Cruz, who wrote "A Woman Will Do Wrong" and "Dear Mother" songs in the studio along with label owner Bill Seabrook. Pat Carty is still singing but mostly gospel. For some reason, the quality of this particular post is lacking but there are better quality versions of this song on UA-cam.
