The Nintendo Switch Online emulation of Killer Instinct is good. The secret SNES codes also work. The only thing that I would suggest (because none of the games on Nintendo Switch Online have instruction manuals) is to find a guide online with all the character move sets, like through MKKomplete.

I want all of the old consoles exactly as they were made at the time of their creation. I want all of the games in their obnoxious cartridges, I even kind of miss huffing and puffing to remove the dust from them. The nostalgia is great in the VR stuff but it just isn't the same. The feel, the smell, everything.. it has to be equal. Also getting new people involved to enjoy the games with that I myself am not great at. That's a key component to it all. Maybe throw in one or two who are good and make me feel like I have to get better.
