When a person does not know what he does not know, he believes that he knows a lot. A scholar is someone with curiosity across feilds. He or she develops a scientific temper and tends to test everything that comes their way on the basis of facts & rationality. The Indian Army prides itself on unquestioned obedience, and in doing so, kills curiosity. It prodices Yes Men, and the likes of Sam Bahadur, SK Sinha & Sunderji had lamented this fact in the 70s & 80s. Neither does the Army produce leaders, nor does it produce scholars..
