I really enjoyed this 72nd Street walk from Central Park to the East River. As a boy I grew up centered around York and 72nd Street. That was from 1940 to 1953. More then half the building are gone and replaced with modern sky scrapers but the soul of the place still remains. And Gloria, and Violet you are in your 80s now and I still think of you still.

I'm 70 now and live in NM, grew up in that neighborhood. Was an altar boy at that church on 9th St. and went to school in the building behind it on 8th St. (St. Thomas Aquinas). Good job, a lot of memories but also many changes: some heartbreaking because so much history gets lost in buildings that come down. Oh well, circle of life.
