a few comments have said this already but this song actually uses Sweet ANN's early VOCALOID1 voice bank!! according to VocaDB, this demo was created by Baba Roy Shuzo in 2003, who also notably created Sweet ANN's 'How Could I Forget You' demo from when she was still being developed for VOCALOID1. i'm not exactly sure how Sweet ANN's voice was mislabelled as Miriam's, the voice present here sounds exactly like Sweet ANN, especially the way she pronounces certain words like "graceful". Sweet ANN's V1 voice bank also appears in another song Shuzo created in 2003 by the name of 'Let's Take A Coffee', along with MEIKO's voice bank before she was released in 2004.

i really love these demos, Sweet Ann's voice is absolutely beautiful and she has such a wide range!! i love how her voice can go from soft to powerful in an instant and i love how these are done like a live performance! Sweet Ann is so underappreciated, she really deserves more love and respect because she's such a good Vocaloid (and her design isn't even that bad imo, it just doesn't fit with the anime-inspired formula that's typically associated with Vocaloid).

honestly the thing that depresses me most about the current status of vocaloid as a software is that it feels like it's abandoning what it's good at in favor of following a trend vocaloid's *good* at a crunchy, robotic sound, and it feels like trying to pivot to realistic voices puts some of the features of the synthesis engine at cross-purposes with what they want to achieve. the fact that they are trying for realism and SynthV blows them straight and clear out of the water on that should be embarrassing to YAMAHA, but it's also a loss to music producers-- there are reasons why someone might want to stick to Vocaloid over SynthV! For example, not only does that crunchy robotic tone have a lot of charm on its own, the engine noise adds a lot of flavor to banks. In addition, traditional vocal synthesis allows for a lot of fine control over expression and thus greater creative control over the end flavor of a track. My inexperience is likely a very large part of it, but I do find it quite difficult to get the same level of emotion out of an AI voice on SynthV that I can hear in a lot of old school Vocaloid. There frankly isn't much of a value proposition for me to get V6 instead of accessing an older version of the engine-- and in fact, I feel strongly that I would be better served by what I want to use Vocaloid for if I did so! If Yamaha had continued to steer their own course and really devoted themselves to their engine's unique charms and features like XSY and growl, I think the discussion could be quite different.

To me both sound the same except it’s like, they just increased the crispness of the voice for the new one
