Levenmouth Building a Railway, will follow the building of the New Levenmouth Railway over the next 2 years.
This UA-cam Channel is being used to display all the video that has been captured in relation to the building of the new railway.
There is also a Facebook Page, with daily updates, mainly images of the work on building the Levenmouth Railway. Levenmouth Railway Opening Sunday 2 June 2024
Levenmouth Railway, first train from Edinburgh to Leven arrives at 10.24.
This train was packed with rail enthusiasts, who wanted to say, 'they were on the first train into Leven after 55 years'.
At the start of this video, you will hear a steam whistle being sounded, this was from Steam Loco, Forth at the Heritage Railway, who greeted each train passing with a whistle or too . . .
Background music by Methil and District Pipe Band.

Levenmouth Railway, Sunday 2 June 2024, the first train Departs Leven Station at 08.30. Piper Kai, Methil and District Pipe Band, Pipes this train out of the station on it’s way to Edinburgh via the Fife Coast.

HST Power Units visit Leven on Tuesday 9 January 2024. Two HST Power Units arrived at the New Leven Station Island Platform. They arrived on Platform 2 @ 12.05 and Departed @ 12.10 pm. The two HST Power Units were Numbered 43321 and 43285.
Levenmouth Driver Training January 2024

Driver Training started on Monday January 8 2024. The First Train Arrived at 07.53, platform 1 and consisted of a 2 Car DMU (158704). This train departed at 08.34 for Glenrothes with Thornton. Regular daily Training Trains will operate 6 days a week.

Workers broke ground on the Sports Centre Car Park to prepare this area for the new, joint, larger Leven Station Car Park. This work could take up to six months.

Bawbee Bridge Ambulance Negotiating Road Works

I wondered what would happen when an emergency vehicle had to access the Bawbee Bridge . . . Well here is the answer . . . You can see the worker moving cones to widen the carriageway and drivers pull up onto the kerb to allow the Ambulance room to pass. Well done to everyone.
Leven 360 Degree Ariel View Levenmouth Station

360 Degree Ariel view of the area, as work starts on building Levenmouth Railway. This shows the Bawbee Bridge, due for closure soon, the area where the Temporary Bridge will be built, the temporary road and exit from roundabout. Updated Ariel Views will be taken over the coming months to record the changes at this site.

Articulated Dumpster makes a 4 point turn at the old Cameron Bridge Station. Great skills by the driver, well done. One of the ideas behind this channel and the Facebook Page is to share, for those enthusiasts who are into Plant and Machinery. Also for those who model, as they will be able to view various scenes of activity which they can use in their modelling to make it more realistic.

Those wheels really Drone / squeak a LOT when train enters station ..and different pitch to different bearings and disks as well ...arff what a noise !!!!

Does anyone know what routes and services are planned for this new line? Will Dunfermline have a direct service?
I do believe Dunfermline is part of ScotRail’s proposed timetable alterations. Trains would go to Edinburgh hourly, alternatively via the eastern and western sections of the Fife Circle.

They will have better access and parking than they had at the old station.
I'm Still Waiting For That New Railway In Fife So That ScotRail Services From Edinburgh To Glenrothes With Thornton Will Be Extended To All The Way To The End Of The Line To Leven Next Year Very Early 2024! So That Would Be April Spring 2024

Hi thanks for your message. Sorry for no videos being uploaded recently but have had a few technical issues. Finally think I have this fixed now with the upload of the Engineers Train arriving in the Methil West Section with rails for the new Levenmouth Railway. I have videos waiting to be uploaded and will be trying to put up about 2/3 videos each week to try and catch up. I am recording material whenever I can so there is video to come of the changes happening.
As a retired Signal and Telecommunications Technician that worked on the old Leven Station to St Andrews line I look for all the latest news about all about the new Station.

This is a test video for the new Levenmouth Building a Railway UA-cam Channel. This is to check out the uploading of video to this new channel. It is expected that, where there is no voice over, there will be onscreen text to explain what is happening. (if that is needed). Note that this is a new channel, created on 24 August 2022, that will follow the building of the New Levenmouth Railway over the next 2 years. Regular updates will be made. I have already recorded video of preparation work for the new railway. Some of these videos were taken a few months ago but I did not have anywhere to show them. Now I do.
