Hustle. Coaches want players who are willing to dive for loose balls, grab rebounds and run the floor. Another way to stand out is to be in elite shape. It’s not fun but it’s what’s made TJ McConnell so successful. Plenty of conditioning drills available online. If you’re in better shape you can outrun competition and be less tired towards the end of drills. Finally excel in your role. If you’re a SG knock down shots. PG, run the offense etc. you got this!

@@joshsmilerbasketball i have a really low arc and im the tallest player(6'0) what should i do

@ do the shots go in? If they do, don’t worry about it. At your height, get to the rim!! Easy layups and rebounds should be yours!

@@joshsmilerbasketball the shots keep hitting the front of the rim and sometimes the back.

@@T3nzy10 might depend on where you are aiming. I usually aim for right in the center of the net! If they are short, a higher arc might work better! Tryouts are probably when you'll see this, so control what you can control!

1. Be a pest on defense. Dive for loose balls, make the hustle plays, and go for every rebound. 2. Stick to your strengths. If you’re a great ball handler showcase that ability to get by your defender and get to the rim. If you’re a great shooter, make sure you knock down your open shots. 3. Control your attitude and effort. Be one of the players that has a next play mentality. You lose the ball or defender gets by you; doesn’t matter worry about the next play. Not sure if you’ve seen it yet, but I have an entire playlist that might have some of the drills, your coach will use a tryouts and other helpful videos: ua-cam.com/play/PLHw69QNOZcYgnzNzTMnJwMlFWgLK4LyBm.html&si=iXZRVAoyNqGI8yj8
