    It’s all wrong. They never died. Dinosaurs-they’re not some thing from the past, they’re here, right now, inside everything. Do you see it? Every fish, every shadow, they’re just pretending to be what we think they are. But they’re not. They’re alive, they’ve always been alive, just hiding, evolving, becoming... something else. Something we can’t understand. We’re not the hunters, we’re the prey. This fisherman, he’s not just catching fish-he’s pulling up fragments of a world that’s been underground, waiting. Waiting for us to realize that we’re just pawns in a game that’s been running far longer than we can even imagine. They’re still here, still watching. We never left the past-it never left us.

    Do you ever keep fish

    • @reelingwithrobby
      @reelingwithrobby 8 днів тому

      The fish I catch are often very large specimens for their species and is not beneficial to keep them as 1. they are native species that are beneficial to the environment 2. have accumulated many toxins over many years and 3. I feel it is important to release large fish to help spread the genes to future generations of fish. Such as many would release a 12lb bass, It is also important to release 6 foot gar, 40lb catfish, etc. In my opinion. With that being said I keep carp, shad, mullet, and hardhead catfish for bait as they are sustainable to keep due to them being “prey” fish. Which have larger amount of specimens compared to “predator” fish. Think amount of mice on earth vs amount of lions. Large predator fish keep the prey fish populations healthy.
