It's not because of security shops early it's because the government regulate hours of work and to be with family
My Sister, South Africa is a diverse Country, you just didn't go further enough , there is plenty of heathy food establishments in SA, more than you can imagine. And some stores are 24 hours while others are open up to 22h00. You need to research more rather. I nevertheless enjoyed your content and just subscribed.

I think u were a bit hash on request to have sheets changed everyday at LaOrchard hotel SA were you slept. Even at home we don't change sheets everyday. Otherwise great travel experience.

Point of correction Limpopo river is shared by 5 countries but 4 official countries ( South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe) it starts near Namibia/botswana border

Those immigration official crooks of Mozambique are brutal and Evil, they act as if they don’t have neighbouring countries, at one point they pointed AK47 guns at me at a checkpoint in Tete by police/soldiers, immigration officers coz of driving a GP plate.
