Summerlin Academy cadets pay tribute to the many lives lost in the 911 attack. Each year, Summerlin Academy presents this ceremony honoring civilians and first responders. Distinguished guests in the community participate paying tribute to first responders such as firefighters, law enforcement, paramedics, canine and military. Families of cadets are invited on campus for the ceremony.

Cadets at Summerlin get promoted within the ranks of JROTC. Cadets earn promotion by being on track for the required community service hours, having a High GPA, and adherence to the standards and expectations set forth by US Army JROTC program. Summerlin Academy's Annual Military Ball was held April 2, 2022. What great night, great food, great dancing, great staff and cadets, and the best guest speaker ever- Marcus Wright! His speech entitled "What is Your Purpose?" was very inspiring. I wish we had recorded it! But you will find here a short glimpse into the evening full of fun and tradition all mixed together, Summerlin style!

Our 13th Annual Military Ball. Cadets enjoy formalities and fun. Our guest speaker this year was CW3 Clarence Rabon (SF) Ret. Traditions include recognizing our seniors, toasts, food, and dancing including a Congo line every year. All of this and the comraderie experienced there make this a very memorable event for cadets and staff!
