He took LFC from the 2nd division to champions of England, FA Cup glory for the first time, and came close to making LFC the first English team to win the European Cup within a handful of years. In other words turned LFC into the giant we are today. He laid a foundation so solid that even when the club goes through a bad patch a manager can come in and rebuild a team on that foundation that is capable of winning trophies at the highest level. He was truly special.

But let me tell you, without Scots the English game would be very different and very worse. Scots have had as much to do with the shaping of the modern game as anyone else, let no one forget it.
